Intimate off grid eco retreat centre in the Berywn Mountains, North Wales available for events, retreats and workshops. Amazing straw bale roundhouse seating up to 35 and 2 beautiful yurts sleeping up to 15 folk.

This off grid Eco Retreat Centre is centred around the straw bale roundhouse Ty Mam Mawr or the House of the Great Mother.

The retreat centre can be hired for events and workshops either as a whole including the two yurts for accommodation or just the roundhouse on its own. The roundhouse can seat up to 35 (or 10 yogis) with two gorgeous yurts providing accommodation for up to 15 folk and a log cabin with fully equipped kitchen /bathrooms (hot water /shower /toilet /compost loo etc).

Ty Mam Mawr was created by Nathan & Shayne as a space for learning, growth and meeting others interested in making our world a better place. The core values of our vision are sharing, love, self reliance, sustainability and spiritual growth.

We are open to folk holding events and workshops embracing these principles and more. We also run our own workshops and events which include Permaculture, Eco Building, Animal Communication, Bio Energy Meditation, Music /Drumming, Sound Healing, Yoga, Community Development, Outdoor Cooking, Bushcraft and whatever else floats our boats!

The round house and yurts are located at our secluded off-grid eco-property situated high up in the beautiful Berwyn mountains in North Wales, midway between Bala and Llangollen on the edge of the Dee Valley AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Visitors often comment on the sense of deep peace & tranquility, stunning skies and amazing views with no other houses in sight. There is no light pollution and stars aplenty. Wildlife abounds in the woods surrounding us. We have our own spring water and generate electricity from the sun, wind and rain. Snowdonia national park is approx 20 minutes away and mountain biking, walking, canoeing, surfing and sailing are on the doorstep.
