¤æĆZAK GOT GUNGED¤æĆ
After a week of you all voting it has paid off. Our entertainment manager has finally been gunged.
Who will it be this week? Have your say......

User

what an amazing 4 day holiday me and my sister in law had only bad part was that she twisted her ankle and was on crutches but the girl who came and see her from first aid but also worked on the bar was really helpful and also asked every night how she was doing. the entertainment was spectacular they all did so well and trouper tommy is a born performer also he always made us feel welcome. we was camping in a tent which was my first time and I enjoyed every moment of it. toilets and showers were always clean. the security would drive around the park most of the night which made u feel very safe. will definitely be recommending this park to everyone I know and we loved it that much that we will be back at the end of the month for a few more nights thanks again for an amazing holiday can't wait to come back

what another amazing holiday we have had we will be back very soon

User

We went camping for the first time at ty mawr , was amazing we loved the whole experience so much we stayed longer !! The best park we have stayed at thought we wld not enjoy it as much as we usually stay in a caravan but it was amazing felt very safe toilets/showers always clean good play area nice pool and fun arcade and the entertainment was something else , i cant praise the troopers enough brilliant with the children kept them entertained all evening every evening iv been to many and they just stick a disco on but ty mawr really make sure that the kids or adults are never bored , the troopers work so hard i dont knw how they do it for hours of none stop on the go fun filled entertainment every night not only are they good with children but are very talented watching them sing and dance on the sunday night was amazing and made the extra stay all worth while we was glad we dident miss that show. I will deffo be coming again and again and again with my children and i will be recommending this oark to everyone i know thanku so much for the amazing long weekend was nervous cmung alone as a newly single parent but it was amazing and we cant wait to come again and security was amazing too , very happy family not wanting to leave today

User

Stayed two nights, lovely clean park, great amenities, lovely shop serving fresh pastries every day and everything you might need, chippy, indoor pool, restaurant, play areas, Daisy the dog loved it too, please renew toilet rolls as i had to go looking in another block, thank you for a lovely stay, we will be happy to come again soon.

User

Great 4night stay in a private caravan. My little lad loved the shows every night. Pool was lovely and warm. Restaurant had good food, The play areas are good also for the little ones and all staff were helpful and friendly. Only down side is chippy prices are mental. 2fish and chips for 17quid! Other than that had a brilliant stay and would love to go back again

User

Fantastic weekend camping break, spacious and totally level pitches so no headaches or rolling into each other :)

Views are good, local beach isn't great but easy drive to colwyn bay where the imported sand is golden and the sea is clear. Onsite chippy ran out of food! But onsite restaurant is good value and decent pub grub, drinks not excessively priced for a captive audience too. And the staff are all cheerful and happy to help.

Swimming pool was kept to a sensible number of people (better than the free-for-all last bank holiday) and kids loved the night time entertainment other than having to be quiet for bingo. We'll definitely be back, for longer next time

User

Spent a week during May holidays with 2 adults and 2kids. Van was spotless clean and comfy, clean/tidy site and saw litter pickers regularly =) swimming pool & kids park was fab and we loved the ice-cream van coming around the site. We found the kids evening entertainment to be quite dull having mainly adult participation not the kids on stage, troopers didn't interact with the kids very well unlike another park resorts site we have stayed on and the bar was quite expensive. Lots to do in the area so would visit again but not use onsite entertainment bar.

User

So we have just got back from a family wk end in a caravan with our dog too, we have used this site for over 15yrs and had noticed the lack of care at previous times but I must say first impressions now the site has been improved is excellent, it looks fantastic, reception very nice and staff welcoming, park looks great for little ones, arcades much better now too, only little down sides are, pool table is placed in everyone's way, the caravan its self was acceptably clean but wouldn't say gleaming, and could do with the entrance road sign being further out, as its hard to see until your right on it.... Trust me after so many years using a different entrance it's hard to remember.

Our neighbouring caravan didn't clean there dog mess either but I informed staff as we left and they said they would note it.

User

Really nice site. The only downside is as we private rented our caravan we had to buy a pass to be able to use the bar on a night. There is a cost to this. I don't understand why their security is not on the part where you go for the shows. We only wanted to use the bar and arcade but couldn't on a night without a pass. Seems a bit mad as they are losing out on money!

User

Fab little park, everything is quite central in the park too so all is easy to find.

The showbar and amusements are in quite good condition, especially in comparison to other Park Resorts parks.

The Boathouse bar and restaurant is quite well set out, and the menu is similar to that of a usual gastropub and reasonably priced.

The location of the park itself is quite central to supermarkets, and close enough to quite a few attractions to keep the kids occupied.

We did book an activity on site, but I would be reluctant to do so again - ┬Ż6 for archery...which turned out to be ŌĆśhover archeryŌĆÖ inside the showbar rather than outside(where my sons would have preferred) and they basically stood in a queue for 25 mins to have 5 arrows to shoot at a target! We had more fun later that day paying ┬Ż6 each for a water gun from the shop and having a waterfight...with guns that we then took home!

The caravan was a good size and clean, the pull out bed however, was extremely uncomfortable ’┐Į we ended up sleeping on the sofa itself instead of the bed as it was comfier! The beds in the bedrooms werenŌĆÖt too bad though.

All in all, a good stay...and definitely one of the better parks IŌĆÖve been to.

User

Enjoyed our stay from Monday to Saturday. Very clean and tidy site with a cracking price bar/restaurant. Family of 4 eat and drink for ┬Ż35 average. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

The toilet and shower block could do with a modem upgrade as itŌĆÖs just portacabins at the moment. Was clean and well stocked up until the Friday night, weekend lot arrived.

From Friday tea time the site comes in to its own with the camping site filling up fast. The toilets became dirty and under stocked very fast. The site became party central with music kids and general messing about.

If you have young children IŌĆÖd stay away. My review stars was based on the first 5days at if it was the weekend it would be a 1. Now I know why there isnŌĆÖt a nice new shower block on the medows.

User

Caravan was terrible covered in dog hair and toilet was leaking and no notice that it was adults only for bingo my 8 yr old son wasn't happy bout that.

Should have run a family bingo. There was also no notice in the caravan that the restaurant only run a very small menu on a sunday.

Bit disappointing really found winkups better when we stayed there before on a private booking

User

Caravan was clean and tidy. Reception could not have been any more helpful when we turned up with are family dog...Only problem with the park is my daughter had an accident , So i came to the reception to get a 1st aider

and tell them what had happened. Cant fault Josh he came to the caravan right away. My problem was it was a head injury...Was told there could be up to an 8 hour wait at the hospital because it's holidays. Asked for the address of the hospital which they goggled.! Josh sent me to an eye hospital with NO a&e...! Luckily for me i stopped lady who offered to drive out of her way to show me where to go.! Got back to the park 4 hours later...Reception shut...Went up the nxt morning...Was told that u were takin all the wood down from the putch...Was still up when we left on the 4th..Not one person was interested in the fact my daughter had concussion..after a wood block from ur football pitch fall on her head.! Where was the follow up to make sure she was ok.?

User

Enjoy my stay there but more staff in the Boathouse would help at all times. Waiting for a breakfast for 45mins on a Sunday approx 9.30am on is a long time. More public kept coming. Meadows touring area toilet blocks are disgusting at most times. Staff should keep up with keeping them clean & unblocked through a day. Refill the soap and keep on top with toilet roll. Showers are bad again with drains, dirt in them & on the floors. Just provide staff to look after them through a day. !!!!

User

Disappointed, we arrived Thursday 31st May in our campervan on arrival at reception given a bag with out of date entertainment passes and told to go to the Meadows and find a space , no organisation at all, place was busy so finding a space was like looking for a needle in a haystack finely manage to fit on a corner spot and parked up ( not as told on piece of A4 ) due to being no space. We manage to use the bottom showers toilet block which on the whole were clean and tidy most of time which is more than can be said about top block disgusting ( they need quite a lot of work to be done on them ). Some of the seasonal caravaners That Park on the site (on the meadows), behaviour needs to be addressed we had our granddaughter with us and the foul language, arguments and fighting that she witnessed was totally embarrassing, it is a family site after all.

I think that you need to address the fact that you need someone on the site that allocates your space, also if your in a campervan that you can go out in your van knowing that your site will be there on return ( maybe a flag to put in the space to say that a campervan is there ) ’┐Įalso that the shower blocks are properly maned not just once a day x

User

Arrived and was given a welcome pack and told by the receptionist that we could pitch our tent anywhere on a map she showed us

The campsite is on a road through the caravans which are incidentally packed together like sardines!!! The road is not wide enough for cars to park so they are parked in the minute space next to the caravan meaning there is no outdoor space for you especially in this hot weather !!

We drove around the camping area , the biggest eye sore are the grey with red door porta cabins used as loos showers and washing area . To my horror there was a cubicle porta cabin contraption with no door which I realised is the flush away for the porta loos !!!! Absolutely disgusting !!! I wish I could show photos !!!

We found a spot , got out of the car and realised that the main road was the other side of the hedge , I use the term main road loosely it sounded more like a motorway !!!

We moved .. found another pitch and set up our 2 tents .... the area quoted was 6m x6m so thinking one 4 berth tent may not be big enough for 3 plus things we pitched 2 together with an area in between no different than one of the huge other tents pitched with them also having a puppy tent .

The litter picker / security guy came over and asked if we had paid for that pitch as the ones on the perimeter were for bigger tents ... I said the receptionist said we could pitch anywhere!!! He said they often do that !!! That it should be ok so we stayed .... ( so watch out for that ) I said perhaps someone needs to explain to the reception they are giving wrong info and he said they had !! I said it's a good job its a pop up tent if you expected us to move imagine someone building their tent to be told that !!!

Then he came back to say we couldn't have the 2 tents on one pitch for health and safety reasons !!! .

.. tgere were tents with puppy tents , gazebos and he's telling me we can't have 2 tents with a gap between.... I said fine I can attach the tents .

.. of course that wasn't acceptable either so in the end even though he agreed with me and understood what I was saying we took one tent down....

4pm then sound of traffic was horrendous and we were the opposite side now .... 11pm all I could hear was the traffic ... so much for a peaceful tranquil camping trip !!!!

I dont recommend you pitch anywhere near the road !!

The loos and showers were very unkempt and were not cleaned in all the time we were there !!!!! Absolutely filthy .

Really disappointed and with it raining too we left a day early !

User

Worst place ever, wouldnt recommend to anyone the toilets are horrible, bloody tissue on the floor, poo on the walls, sanitary bins over flowing they look like they haven't been cleaned for a good year.

The showers are either too hot or to cold(wouldnt recoment taking a young child).

The heated swimming pool is freezing and full of human hair.

User

The camping facilities are awful, three sinks to wash dishes for too many tent spaces, often no toilet paper or hand wash in the toilet block and as for the noise on site until the early hours of the morning it's ridiculous, if you are a considerate camper who likes to go to bed at 23:00 forget it instead you'll get shouting and screaming all night long! It's such a shame as the location was walkable to get to the beach and my children really enjoyed the swimming pool, if security checked the campsite at midnight to remind people to consider other people then we might have had a better holiday but I can't call this a camping site suitable for children unless you like children kicking and screaming by your tent until 2/3am every night!

User

If anyone is planning on going here then spend your money elsewhere.

The facilities on the camping area are disgustingly filthy. Toilet seats ripped up, never any toilet roll because the "cleaners" are too lazy to put it in the dispensers, no soap for well over a week, the hand dryers work once in a hundred tries, the floors are soaked with god knows what, etc etc etc. There probably isn't enough space in this box to write it all down.

The manager was told about all this and she said "theres a cleaning crew going there now (it was one cleaner!), hopefully it will be better". HOPEFULLY! What a joke.

The councils environmental health department were contacted about the state of the place and they agree the facilities are in a bad state and there aren't enough of them.

While we were there, armed police were on site (!!!) to investigate reports of guns in the back of somebodys car. Security and management were too spineless to remove the person from the site. Guns. On a family site. There really are no words to describe just how dangerous and stupid this is.

This is one place I definitely won't be returning to, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

One star is way too genourous but it won't let me leave any less.

User

If I could give less I would! I have no idea where to start apart from advising anyone to is looking to book here - DON'T!

*camping fields had us up until gone 2am every night due to foul behaviour, language and the smell of drugs by other campers

* little you no security on sight to deal with above issue

*Unhygienic loos, poo smeared on walls and seats most days, no toilet roll, no hand soap, unclean floors, unclean sinks

*little to no staff to keep on top of the above or even request toilet roll from. (In a week we saw them one!)

*Over flowing sanitary bins

*Showers, not enough, too small, people poo'd in them most days and I don't want to know what was on the floors! Again not clean or even saw being cleaned

*Reception staff "magically" couldn't find a complaints form

*the pool - flune shut all week, water can on my be described as battle ship grey with clumps (actual clumps) of hair floating in it.

*Pool area unclean and staff very unhelpful.

Considering this is a family holiday park I found this all very upsetting. It ruined our holiday. Better facilities in a farmers field!

User

what an amazing 4 day holiday me and my sister in law had only bad part was that she twisted her ankle and was on crutches but the girl who came and see her from first aid but also worked on the bar was really helpful and also asked every night how she was doing. the entertainment was spectacular they all did so well and trouper tommy is a born performer also he always made us feel welcome. we was camping in a tent which was my first time and I enjoyed every moment of it. toilets and showers were always clean. the security would drive around the park most of the night which made u feel very safe. will definitely be recommending this park to everyone I know and we loved it that much that we will be back at the end of the month for a few more nights thanks again for an amazing holiday can't wait to come back

what another amazing holiday we have had we will be back very soon
