Tyn Rhyd B&B Description

TYN-RHYD B& B lies between Dolgellau and Barmouth near the coast of North Wales. Bontddu is surround with acres of woodland as well as facing breath taking mountains which includes the well known Cadair Idris mountain, whilst overlooking the beautiful Mawddach estuary that filters into the sea at Barmouth bay. We have 2 rooms, one double /family room (sofa bed) and a twin room both with en suite. Each room has a dining table where you can enjoy your breakfast in your room, in bed or outside on the balcony weather permitting. Parking is provided plus a secure storage for bikes, and space to allow wet kit to dry. BBQ area also provided if you wish to pop into our local town of Dolgellau to Euro Spar and grab your selected BBQ foods or try our local farmed meat from the local butchers. Free WiFi available.

Enjoy a classic day on Barmouth supreme beaches which are situated less than 10 minutes away in the car with a direct route (A496) from the B& B. Also a great place to explore around the shops, markets, antique and art stores plus the area provides fantastic places to grab a light lunch at the Last Inn pub, or pop into the atmospheric Davy Jones Locker that tells tales from the early 19th Century. Indulge in the tasty local seafood menu's a recommendation is the Inglenook Seafood restaurant. Other recommendations for delicious food and drinks at the 17th century George III Inn just a short walk across the bridge from the B& B, where you can take a pleasant stroll and view the splendid sights of the Mawddach estuary with Barmouth's famous bridge in the distance. Another great option is to eat out at the stunning converted barn 'Mawddach' restaurant in Bontddu, just 5 minutes straight direct route (A496) from the B& B including the modernised classic Cross Foxes just past Dolgellau town which takes 10 minutes or grab a mouth watering Sunday carvery at the George Inn across the estuary opposite the B& B.
