Founded in 2012, UNDERDOG RECORDING is a recording studio that bites at the idea that recording should be dictated by location. Rather than being limited to its own yard, UNDERDOG RECORDING is fully mobile, allowing for recording to take place in practice rooms, live music venues, halls, churches, houses and more. Capable of recording everyone from solo artists to orchestras, UDR prides itself not only on its mobility but also its ability to offer professional quality at an affordable price. When on location, the Studio is transported via a compact set of flight cases, allowing even the smallest of practice rooms to be transformed into a studio in next to no time. Furthermore, UDR offers services that go beyond the studio: concerts and live performances can also be captured at a competitive rate.


UNDERDOG RECORDING is run by THOMAS STALEY, who has had years of experience in capturing that sound. Home recording and live performances are nothing new to Tom. Over the years, he has self-produced both his own and other artists’ EPs /albums, and has offered his services to local bands not only as a producer but as a sound engineer as well. Having completed his Music Production BSc (Hons) degree in 2012, Tom took this experience along with his unique approach to getting the best out of artists and equipment alike, saw a gap in the market for a quality, affordable and mobile recording studio and has been building UNDERDOG RECORDING ever since.
