Congratulations and best wishes to all those receiving honours this afternoon at the meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge.
We are dighted that four of our own Brethren will be reviving provincial honours today: our WM will receive his first appointment to Provincial Grand Lodge as an active Steward. Our IPM is promoted to active Assistant Director of Ceremonies. Our Senior Warden will receive his first appointment as Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon and our Charity Steward is reappointed Provincial Grand Secretary.
Llongyfarchiadau, Brethren!

Our WM had the privilege of presenting a cheque to the Army Benevolent Fund yesterday evening. The fourth presentation to charities made by the lodge this year. Our grateful thanks to the Brethren of the lodge, in particular the lodge Charity Steward, for their efforts and to our friends who have supported our endeavours.

Last Friday, 24th May, we held a quadruple raising - the first in our Lodge's history. Pictured are the APGM, WM, Senior and Junior Warden and the four new Master Masons.
On the same night, the lodge donated £3,000 to the 2021 Festival, £570 to the Army Benevolent Fund, £570 to It Gets Better UK and £165 to the Sully Friends of Ty Hafan Children's Hospice. A fabulous total of £4,305. Pictured second are the APGM, WM, IPM, Lodge Charity Steward and the regional Chair of the 20...21 Festival.
As if that's not enough, it was also our election night and our Senior Warden was duly proclaimed Master Elect.
We were well supported by visiting Brethren for what was an historic and enjoyable evening.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Charity Ball on Saturday. We are delighted to have raised a fantastic £1,900 for our WM's chosen charities. Particular thanks to W.Bros Richard Lee and Matthew and Bro. Richard for providing the entertainment; and to Cardiff Masonic Hall for hosting. It was a fabulous evening!

This highlights the need for students, who are for the most part living away from home with new pressures and stresses in their lives, to feel part of a supportive community. We are blessed to live in such a welcoming city and are fortunate that our community is enriched by students from all across the world. We must be mindful of their welfare and the welfare of all young people.
Members are encouraged to talk to the Lodge Almoner, Mentor or any other brother if they are in distress. Younger members are also encouraged to seek out the Colonnade Club which provides an excellent peer support network for young Masons.
