Experience about which subject you are studying

I gave this review 3 stars purely because I didn't love it or enjoy my time there, nor' did I hate it.

The lecturers are world class and are among the most well informed and enthusiastic individuals I know. It was a pleasure to be taught Archaeology by such amazing staff.

However, the lack of resources; the general disregard for the teaching & support staff and just how taken for granted they are by the administration of the University spoiled this campus and ruined the whole point of University.

The library also is underfunded and underused.

Essentially the saying 'you have to spend money to make money' is completely lost on this campus.

Stay for the amazing teaching and staff and that is it.

I studied at Lampeter for nearly ten years completing a BA in archaeology and anthroipology and a PhD in social archaeology. I found it a truly life changing experience in the finest possible way. Staff were supportive encouraging and knowledgeable. Facilities may not have been 100% cutting edge but have always been fit for purpose. The highlight was the atmosphere and quality of the student body.

Lampeter strikes the perfect balance between a small scale community where everyone has time for one another whilst still being diverse enough to be yourself. I can't recommend it highly enough.

An amazing university, from a parent's prospective high level of education and it is in a lovely small town - no night clubs and distractions!
But more importantly the campus feels like family - friendly, caring of each other and safe
Highly recommended, (as is the wool shop just down the road from the campus)
