Excellent food at reasonable prices. Always fancied stopping at the Usk and Railway every time we passed on the way to llandovery. Eventually drove there for lunch, I must say their food was some of the best pub food I've tasted, especially for the price.
Can't wait to go back.
Absolutelydelicious food. I had the special venison with cherry and orange. Onlu disapointment was not being offered drinks at the table and having to go to the bar. However everyone was helpful. I am lactose intolerant and cant have gluten. The waiter remembered this so when i forgot to say no butter on the new potatoes he used his initiative and did them without butter very very applaudable. This waiter served me at another restaurant down the road a few months ago when i last visited and due to my intollerances he was the most helpful team member there, even inventing a dish specifically for me, with the help of my partner, who is also a chef. One to keep!! Thank you.
Stayed here for a night before taking past in the Fan Dance Race. Arrived to a warm welcome by Tom, who got us checked in & quickly showed us to our room, despite having a busy bar to contend with.
Room No.2 was modern with a comfy double bed and offered a lovely view over the hills.
Geared dumped & it was down to the bar to sample some of the local real ales & the fantastic scran in the bar. Both the Pie of the Week and the Fish & Chips were brilliant! Big portions ensure even the most hearty appetite was fulfilled.
I stay at this location every time and the owners and staff are brilliant.

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was one of congeniality and the restaurant food excellent.
Very busy pub, good selection of beers and spirits both the main brands and some smaller independent brands. Rooms are comfortable and have powerful showers to wake you up in the morning.
Really warm welcome from the owners. We had a good stay here.

Went in and had a warm welcome. The staff were really friendly and the food quality was great for a pub. The only problem I had was the food is a little costly
