Village Hotel Swansea

I paid a lot of money to stay here and was so angry that when we arrived we was confronted by a self check in desk. Really?!
It says a lot about how they don't care about providing a basic service at a hotel that you would expect and that they don't care about my custom.

After waiting for 10min a lady came out To Help us check in and asked if we wanted to add breakfast. We did so, she said we will receive an email to pay, which was fine. But it was not fine to wake up the next day to a letter that had been posted under the door demanding payment straight away. The funny thing was I still got the email.
When we had breakfast we found that again it was self service and the food was cold and not very good quality. The lady who sat us down was clearly flustered.

And finally upon check out, there was a man there who was very slow. He apologised and said he does not normally work on the desk. Judging by his clothes he worked in the gym. This hotel had a gym worker at the front desk because they did not care about providing service.

Nice hotel in a good location. We were able to walk into town in about ten minutes. Ample car park and near the main road (A483). Staff were helpful and pleasant without exception. Room would have benefited from a safe for my laptop but that is really a minor point.

Stayed there twice. Check-in was easy. Good size room with big toilet. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water for shower. Easy parking with big carpark. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in.a great location. Food and drinks are brilliant if you are a member 25%off. Gym and training facilities are excellent. Nice pool music a bit loud. Bad parking it's always full

Restaurant was pleasant. Food The starters were soup which was really nice followed by a very nice selection of starters. It then went downhill. Beef was tough turkey was OK and other option was ham (not something that you would have with a gravy dinner ) hard veg I know they are supposed to be better for you but they definitely spoil my meal (and most people I know) no roast parsnip. Dessert a cheesecake with lemon mousse. A chocolate mousse with cream or fruit salad. I Was offered waffles with a sauce. Or apple crumble. I Opted for Apple crumble very disappointing one and a half slices of apple in a ramekin with some very hard (unable to eat) crumble with cream . Overall really disappointed Staff were very nice. But I will not be going back...

Convenient location near city centre. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms comfortable but do look a little jaded. Breakfast buffet is typical of what you would expect. We were a party of 20, staying for leisure purposes, though most of the clientele seemed to be business people. We are dining tomorrow evening in our own function room, and the menu looks appetising, though obviously can't comment yet on the quality. Based on experience so far we are pleased that we are getting value for money. Update. The 4 course meal we had exceeded expectations. All 20 of us were happy with the quality of the food offered.

Probably the best hotel in Swansea. Visited and stayed in pretty much every one they have in the last 2 years. Fantastic rooms. Great beds, showers and amenities. Lovely and lively bar/restaurant. Cracking little gym and pool. Parking and WiFi to boot. Recommended

Has a lovely meal at the pub/restaurant downstairs. At first seemed a little overpriced but the quality of the meal made up for it. Wonderful burger. Will definitely be going again soon.

We went for a Feel Good Friday promotion. A room and two course meal for two for £69. We paid a extra £7 to upgrade our room. This came with access to the gym, pool and spa etc. Also free parking. Amazing value, the menu was limited but still, for the price really enjoyable. I'd strongly recommend this special offer
