Interesting article from a mainstream UK paper today on Anzac Day. Brits here still trying to get their heads around what Anzac Day means to us Australians (and Kiwis!) Noting else remotely like it in the world. It's a treasured and vital legacy in todays troubled times. Lest we forget. https://www.independent.co.uk/…/anzac-d ay-2019-australia-ne…

"At Villers-Bretonneux in the French countryside, the Last Post will echo once again at dawn after Prime Minister Scott Morrison intervened in February to stop the local service being moved to later in the morning." YES! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/…/War-hero- share-insights-Anzac…

Well... he's certainly persistant with his narrative! Published April 11 on UK version: TheConversation.com Our Question is this: If this view/perspective on Anzac is being taught in an Australian University - is their other views being taught elswhere in other Australian universities ? Thoughts..?

Please help sort this idiot out. He's obvs into selling his book with comments like "Australians went to war because a British king declared war. We could have said no. Australia's participation in the World War One cannot make sense on its own." Disgraceful!! And the 'toerag' Daily Mail here in the UK as well. Lazy sloppy journaism ..
