From the recently updated bridge over the Taff Trail to an original piece of our heritage - the Trevithick Trail near Merthyr Vale marks a key location and moment in Merthyr Tydfil's history when the first journey by a steam locomotive to pull a load on rails took place in 1804, the first of its kind in the world.
