Don’t mind us, we’re just taking a quick break from the Airshow in the world of augmented reality. No, we haven’t had too much sun – we’re at the Wildlife Trust of South Wales’ ‘Sea Wales’ 7D augmented reality family experience. If you’re at the Airshow, you have to check it out!

What an amazing weekend put on all thanks to the council of Swansea. Can't believe those who have actually moaned. Seriously need to get a life! It's been a fabulous couple of days in the sun spent with family and friends. I've attended both days and it's been lovely to have this on our door step and for free. I look forward to it every year. Thanks. and also so glad that elderly man yesterday that had a heart attack was saved by the amazing help he had. Well done to all those involved that helped

User

What a fantastic weekend at Wales Air Show 2017. I would like to congratulate all my colleagues and friends at City and County of Swansea who worked so hard in association with sponsors and volunteers to bring this great event to Swansea bay once again, it was very enjoyable and worth all the hard work. A massive thank you to all those who took part in the show itself, we appreciate the time and effort you take to provide us with such great skill in your performances. Thousands turned up to enjoy the event and many great reviews have been made by those who enjoyed it. There was a very small minority who had no positive input to bettering the event and prefered to be crued and crass but they obviously have somewhere better to be next time round, there remarks have been noted and appropriately filed. Looking forward to the return of the Wales Air Show next year and lets hope the weather and attendance is as good as this years.

User

What a fabulous show ... the skill of the pilots is outstanding and i loved the commentary about the planes and the crew. Considering all this is free is fabulous. Well done to everyone involved. A truly spectacular day x

User

This was a fantastic free event with plenty of ground displays to look around. The Air Display was an amazing variety of aircraft with the highlight being the Red Arrows and the RAF Typhoon. A must for any family as it's a great day out and we are already talking about next year. Well done to Swansea City Council for putting on such a great family event.

User

Thank you so much for another amazing day and thank you to each and every crew who flew or were involved, you were all amazing, and we had a great day !

User

It was extremely well organised, the aircrafts and pilots put on breath taking displays. Well done to everyone who took part.

User

I wouldn't normally write a review but I feel I have to just thank All those involved in this weekends airshow! From the cleaning of the beach right to the actual pilots and everyone in between for a fantastic, well organized and FREE entertainment! I don't see how any complaints can be made as this event is free and helped to run by the generosity of the sponsorships! I will admit the weather did help towards the enjoyment but I for one would like to publicize my graditude and take my hats off to you all!

User

I attended the show on the Saturday. It was brilliant and both my wife (first time for her to see a display) and myself enjoyed it very much. The icing on the cake has to be the Red Arrows display, although I don't mean to take anything from all the other spectacular displays that we witnessed. We both hope that we can make it to the show next year. As a very keen photographer (I took 481 photo's) I'm looking forward to it very much. Our thanks are conveyed to the sponsors, organisers, the staff who kept everything in check at the event, and of course, the pilots etc who gave us such a wonderful day. Thank You/ Diolch yn Fawr.

User

Had 2 good days watching the Airshow. For a free event I don't see how people can complain. I know the displays are similar for the 2 days but do people know how much aviation fuel costs. To get the Raven display team, the Eurofighter and the Red Arrows plus many others is fantastic. The coast guard which people said was boring is very good, possibly the only time they get recognized for what they do. And with the expensive parking, park further away and walk in like we did. Half hour walk and free parking for us with some exercise lol

User

Every year they never let us down, excellent... I look forward to going again and again.. well done all, your amazing x

User

Cracking event as usual pity about the spell of rain Sunday but didn't dampen the enjoyment :)

User

Briilliant show best day ever definitely going back next year !!!

User

Absolutly fab day for us on saturday! Park and ride was well arranged( although could of used more signage) No waiting around on buses. Great line up and demonstartion arrangements. So nice to meet some of the local heros (army, navy, cadets etc) My family had a great time. Thank you xx

User

Lovely day. Venue is fabulous. Shame the Park and Ride busses stopped at 18.30 instead of the advertised 19.30. And no I was NOT told when I got the bus in and nor were the family from Newport with a young child. Thank you to the SCC events guy that picked us all up after we were stranded at the civic centre. Signs on the buses or at the car park may have helped.

User

I enjoyed the Airshow very much as I've done in previous years. It's this photographer's dream. However The facilities for the disabled (like myself) were shockingly bad to say the least. As in previous years we'd paid for Premium Parking on the Recreation Ground and had expected to be given a space near the entrance. Instead the official told us to go park at the furthest end. My husband pointed at my Blue Badge and I shouted through the window , "But I cannot walk that far. " The official stared blankly at me not knowing what to do. Between us I managed to drag myself with a walking stick and with my husband's arm onto the viewing area. I needed the toilet later only to find they were too far away to comfortably walk to. Our return to the car was equally bad. My husband left me near the entrance whilst he fetched the car. He came across on foot to fetch me and as he dragged me to the car, an official said, "Quick! Quick!" . I would give my back teeth to walk 5 yds at a normal pace , but living with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis ? It's a 'no can do '. I have no gripe with the Wales Airshow itself but with Swansea City Council whose designated Disabled Spaces in Paxton Street are equally shocking . A great event but disabled access ? Please sort it.

User

Great event and the organisation for the amount of spectators attending was good.

Only issue we had was parking. I'm going to have a slight winge on the matter and give some constructive criticism :)

After queuing for an hour and half to be told Fabian Way was full and was diverted back to the over spill CP at the Bay University to queue again for over an hour to be told that was full.

Maybe next year it would help if, once a car park is full, someone could divert those queuing for spaces away at the main road entrance, or having a sign at the entrance with that statement, instead of making people queue, to drive round a maze (like that at the campus) just to get to the end to be told it was full.

The weather couldn't have been better for the weekend but some poor cars didn't take it well. A fair few overheating and having to pull aside which caused more disruption.

We were finally lucky enough to get a space in one of the Free car parks in the city centre at around 1.30pm. (Came off Junct 42 just after 9.30am)

Next year I will leave earlier and just head straight into town.

Something that I overheard and also witnessed with the bored, upset, tired, frustrated children, and date I say parents, were the waiting times for the bus service from these car parks. Maybe there could be a possibility of laying on more transport as people at the bay campus had been queuing for an hour and half and were no where near the front of the queue when we left.

User

Absolutely fantastic day out small criticism but i know its the first year......park and ride signage could be clearer (i.e for park and ride follow signs for amazon we missed it as we thought the right turn was amazon only initially!) Also more buses could have been put on at peek times and also given the road was closed and commuters were carrying heavy chairs picnics maybe the park and ride could drop off right near the action when the planes arent flying? But tiny issues compared to fantastic day out! (Oh also loos could use more loo paper next time but i always bring my own anyway! Lol)

User

Park and ride is disastrous.

Too us longer to get from parking car to bay than it took us to get from Cardiff to Swansea. 2 very disappointed children who missed Red Arrows as stuck on bus!! 😡

User

I look forward to the Wales Airshow every year but this year i feel that the introduction of live music to the event knocked what is normally 5 star event down to 3 stars - could not hear the commentary at all :-(
