This was a bit of a trek out of Wales but it was worth it!
Glastonbury is a strange place that must be the Mecca for those seeking crystal shops, healing and hippy clothing :)
It has two fine hills and it was these that we walked, one being Glastonbury Tor which is international recognisable.
... The eight mile walk was done in the morning as this was always planned as a half day event with the afternoon to be spent exploring the town and or the Abbey.
Are the tales told in Glastonbury regarding Mary Magdalene, Joseph of Arimathea and King Arthur based in reality. We don't know but it's fun to wonder.

Please wear clothing appropriate for the walk, so walking boots and warm layers and waterproofs and bring a packed lunch.
You can book this walk by RSVP-ing YES for the walk. Paypal will sort the rest and you will be automatically registered as going to the event :)
This is a guided walk around the eight waterfalls in the Ystradfelltte area of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This walk will be led by Andy Lamb who has been a BBNP Part Time Warden and Volunteer and Guided Wal...ks Co-ordinator, a Chair of Brecon Beacons Tourism and is currently the owner of Wales Outdoors.
The waterfalls walk is a 10 mile day over often rough and broken ground but doable by most even if some feel pretty tired at the end of the day.
We visit eight waterfalls of note and several smaller falls too. Two of the waterfalls are available to walk behind and one we have to walk behind as that is where the footpath takes us!
Walking boots are advised. It can be cold in the valleys and under tree cover even in good weather so warm layers and waterproofs are essential.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
We will be leaving Pontneddfechan promptly at 9.10am so please arrange to be at the public loos no later than 9am.
Once this is sold out there will be no more spots made available but do look out for similar future events and book on one of those :)
We charge for these walks in order to have a vibrant and exciting range of events available to group members. The charge ensures that the groups programme is sustainable.
The Wales Outdoors team are reactive and will arrange for walks or adventurous activities to be made available as demanded so please give us a shout and tell us what you would like to see on the programme.

Andy led a family day out at Blaen Y Glyn, the highest parking point in the Brecon Beacons National Park and a spot with fine waterfalls and forests and some tunnels too.
The day was, after a slightly damp start, fine (when is it not nowadays) and after starting with a game or two we wandered through the woods to the top of the main waterfall where we made a river crossing and then decided to its base.
The walk then trended upwards, after lunch, through the best of the fore...st and onto the road where we found the entrance to an underground journey of about 600m IN THE DARK!
Once done with the day we headed to the very lovely nearby cafe for cream teas and cakes and ice cream before saying our goodbyes.

We’ve just had the most amazing day on the waterfalls walk. Andy was the perfect guide - calm, knowledgeable, chatty and motivational when we were starting to flag a bit!

Highly recommended.

Went on one of the family walks with my two sons. Had a fab time, beautiful waterfalls and Andy put us all at ease, encouraging the children along and getting everyone chatting. Would recommend.

Walked the 8 waterfalls of the Brecon Beacons with Andy today and it was spectacular. Incredibly beautiful scenery, a good challenge and a really fun group. Andy was a great guide - knowledgeable and encouraging. The whole day totally exceeded my expectations and I would definitely do it all over again. Hugely recommended.

Had a fantastic day Gorge Walking with Andy and my son. We were led into each 'challenge' with clear concise direction, and felt totally safe in his hands the entire day. As a Father & Son day out we helped each other out and I had to match him jump for jump!! ( though day compriswd of walking, traversing, climbing, leaping,wading & swimming too !)

The day wasnt rushed and I thoroughly recommend the activity and Wales Outdoors if you want to experience the area and all it has to offer...plus a decent adrenaline rush !

Look forward to another activity soon and will be definately be using this company. Thank you.

Had a fab day on the parents and kids waterfall walk today, stunning scenery and a great overall experience. Andy, the guide, was fun, friendly and professional throughout - he even let my daughter borrow his coat when she got hers a little wet, a true hero!!!! � I took two 12 year olds and a dog with me and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, would definitely recommend �

Great day out walking the waterfalls with Wales Outdoors. Andy was an excellent group leader and with knowledgeable. There was 28 of us so a large group but very friendly. Will definitely be doing more trips.

Fantastic day today on the family waterfall walk. Can't recommend Andy highly enough, great fun, informative, massively patient and professional. Walked behind one waterfall, swam in the pool of another, just magical with great company to boot Lovely day out :-)
