We’ve got lots of activities and competitions lined up for you – including a fun dog show, fancy dress and welly throwing competitions. And our grand finale – a tug of war between tenants, council staff and councillors. There will be a dance show and a variety of sporting activities delivered by Active Wrexham. Live music is being provided by local band Factory Hens . Refreshments will be available.
Staff from your Housing service will be on hand to help and advise tenants..., along with lots of other organisations such as the Groundwork Trust, the NHS, Cambrian Credit Union, the Dog’s trust – who will be providing free dog micro-chipping and health checks.
The event is free to all Wrexham Council tenants and there will be tickets available on the day for free fairground rides and face painting and for those who wish to drive, there will be free parking available at Clywedog School on Ruthin Road.
Come along and get involved in this fantastic event! You can also be in with a chance to win a TV and a £50 Tesco voucher, amongst other prizes.

We have received a report of a distraction burglary in the Plas Gwyn area. The burglars pretended to be from the water board to gain access. Always ask to see ID before letting anyone into your home. Council ID badges carry the logo on the front. If you are in any doubt give the company they claim to be from a ring before you let them in, if they are legitimate they won’t mind. If they claim to be from the Council, you can ring us on 01978 298993

Thanks to Dave Williams Calon FM for having us on his show yesterday to talk about tenant participation, what it’s all about and how to get involved and thanks to our tenants Yvonne and Lia for coming along to talk about their experiences in tenant participation. We also talked about the upcoming Wrexham Council Tenants ‘Picnic in the Park’ event being held in Bellevue Park on Wednesday 22nd August and will be back after the event to talk about how it went and further upcoming activities.
