Along with Newport Live this half-term we have some exciting and fun opportunities for children to try and get involved with track cycling!
Suitable for 10-14 years-old, it's a two day boot camp led by Welsh Cycling qualified coaches. Riders will learn how to control a fixed wheel bike without brakes, ride a wheel and how to ride in a group.
*** Due to popular demand we have added an extra session on the 18 & 19 February, 3pm - 5pm. Book now to avoid disappointment!***

You must be able to ride a two wheeled bike unaided. Bike and helmet rental included, however, you will need to bring your own cycling gloves. Cycling shorts or running shorts and trainers are ideal, or you can hire our cycling shoes (please wear socks!). If you are wearing long trousers or tracksuit bottoms, they need to be tucked into your socks.
It's hard work, so bring some water! We have a water fountain available at Track Centre but please bring your own bottle.”

As we count down to our regional volunteer conferences, we've been giving you a flavour of what to expect on the night.
One workshop will give you an introduction into equality and a crash course in disability inclusion and ways in which you can diversify your club and voluntary workforce to be fully inclusive. Have you been logging your voluntary hours, using the app Volhours?
The Welsh Cycling Volunteer Recognition programme has been running for a year and anyone who has logged 100, 250 or 500 hours will receive their certificate at their local Regional Volunteer Conference.
A formal presentation ceremony will take place at the end of each event as a thank you for all your hard work and efforts across the year.
