Welsh Karate Governing Body Ltd

The Welsh Karate Governing Body Ltd is the only Sport Wales recognised National Governing Body for Karate in Wales.

The Welsh Karate Governing Body Ltd (originally the Welsh Karate Federation) was established in 1980 with a total membership of 6 associations. It now has 36 autonomous member Associations with a membership in excess of 6000 members.

The WKGB Ltd is the only Sport Wales recognised National Governing Body for Karate in Wales. Through its membership of the European Karate Federation the WKGB sends Welsh Squads to compete in the annual EKF Junior and Senior Championships.

As a member of the British Karate Federation the WKGB Ltd also competes in the WKF (World Karate Federation) & EKF (European Karate Federation) championships as recognised by the IOC(International Olympic Committee)

WKGB Ltd Qualified Officials & Members are the only people recognised by the WKF & EKF.
