This two week long event is coming to the Zoo to help us celebrate all things LOVE! The love is in the air here at the Welsh Mountain Zoo but something strange has happened!
Our animal residents seem to have lost their special someone's somewhere here at the Zoo after Valentine's Day and it is your job to help us help them.

Did you know that our bears love to rub themselves in perfume?
They do! So if you have any leftover perfume lingering at home that you no longer want, that we could use here at the Zoo for our lovely Athena and Fivi the European Brown Bears, then we'd love to hear from you.

Did you know that our education department goes out on educational visits to Schools, Care Homes, Libraries etc? These educational sessions are a great way to bring the Zoo to you and give you a taste of what life is like here at the Welsh Mountain Zoo. Did you know that flamingos feed with their bills upside-down? They tip their head into the water & filter feed, using special hair like adaptations in the top half of their bill, to gather the microorganisms that make up their diet.

The Cotton Top Tamarin is one of the smallest mammals here at the Zoo. They weigh less than 500g & are easily recognised by their long, white sagittal crest extending from their forehead to their shoulders.
