Welsh Mountain Zoo

Great day out value for money. Animals kept in large enclosures and plenty of straw and bedding. Great surroundings would definitely recommend a day here .

Fantastic wee zoo. Plenty of things too see and do for sure. I’d recommend this to all age groups. The penguin parade was especially fun to watch.

Love this zoo, cane here loads as a child and brought my kids now! They loved it too. Wrap up warm in Autumn and winter with the mountain location!

Really good zoo. I love taking photos of animals so I love going to zoos as it's the only place I get to see exotic animals. I got some good photos. It looks a bit dated and the prospect of seeing a bear was great; however, it was hiding. However, we had a good day there.

Smashing little zoo full of Victorian charm. Not as commercial as most zoos and the animals treated with the greatest respect. The highlight of our visit was the penguin walk. The penguins are close to you but not close enough to touch. Keepers obviously enjoy the animals trust as we saw with many of the animals.

Stunning location. Reasonable prices. Can get quite close to the animals.

Children will enjoy the day there is no doubt but for me the jury is out about animals in cages and often in shaded places where they rarely see the sun.

What an amazing day.......Zookeeper for the day at a cost of £170 which was every single penny well spent.....it was pure heaven, topped with an amazing keeper Angie as my guide. If I had only achieved half of what we did I would have been content. I fed Snow leopards, penguins, chimps, spider monkeys, leemas, meerkats, penguins, seal lions and brown bears. I flew a beautiful barn owl, mucked out the camels trained the sea lions and jumped from awe to laughter to sheer joy all in the company of dedicated Angie and my husband Brian. The food in the zoo isn't great and very over priced. Would definitely recommend taking your own food. Apart from that though, I can't knock the zoo. Enclosures are lovely and animals seem really happy. My little one loves going.
