Excellent toasted cheese with chutney . l left having been seduced by the farm shop's pork pie and local cheese. A pleasant place in which to break my journey. Spotless facilities too.

Lovely bacon and egg roll with great tasting black coffee. While I was there bought some venison joints and steaks, home cooked them, they where delicious 😋. I live quite local, so it's great to use local produce. Farm set in beautiful surroundings.

My fiancé had the venison burger which he said was delicious. However, despite the fact that this is a venison centre, the burger was the only venison item on the menu...

I had the all day breakfast which was disappointing. The pork sausages were either cheap or cooked badly, and the bacon was so-so. This felt bizarre given the array of fresh meat available from the butchers in the cafe. Why doesn't the breakfast come with glorious venison sausages but these sub standard pork ones instead? Very strange!

Staff were kind, but with all the fridges open in the same room, it made it quite cold. I expect it's a nicer place to go when it's warm and you can sit outside.

We bought a variety of meat before leaving from the butchers at very reasonable prices and we're looking forward to eating it all for breakfast tomorrow.

Unfortunately, unless we hear news that the menu has been updated with more venison options, there is no desire for us to return again. It's a nice enough place, but the things they could do to improve are so simple it's just strange that they haven't! Hopefully we'll hear news of changes one day and we will have reason to return and indulge.

My venison burger was delicious but bizarrely the only venison item on the extensive, primarily meat-based menu. (I counted 21 savoury options on our visit today.)

My partner chose the all day breakfast which was made with cheap sausages and bacon - despite an array of high quality raw meat available to buy. Why is there no venison sausage option? I would return to try more venison but I've had the only cooked option!

The markups in the shop are eye-watering, with Nomnom chocolate for £5.50 per bar - usual price £3.50-4.00.

All in all, a slightly odd experience.

The venison burger was absolutely stunning. Served with a chutney and a delicious cheese it was perfect.

The farmhouse has a selection of meats, cheeses, chutneys and deer inspired homeware. There is also a wide selection of beer to choose from to take home or give as gifts.

Food service is prompt and friendly and the food itself is great - lovely thick cuts of bacon and fresh bread.

We would definitely stop by again!

Probably the best burgers I have ever tasted. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Great venison sausages and lamb shanks. Buying much more on my next visit.
