"Wenydd" is a modern house built in Mediterranean style as befits it's proximity to Portmeirion Italianate Village. It enjoys an open sunny south facing aspect on the edge of the village of Minffordd, with wonderful views up the vale of Ffestiniog and across the Dwyryd estuary to Harlech and the mountains. Adjoining open meadows and on a lane leading down to a secluded beach on the estuary 600 yards away, it is an ideal holiday centre for exploring the mountains and coast. There is ample private secure parking for guests cars in the grounds and the house is within easy walking distance to Portmeirion.
"Wenydd" is a comfortable welcoming house in an attractive setting in it's own carefully tended garden and it is our wish to share the natural beauty of the surroundings with our guests. We are pleased to give advice on the local places of interest and the best way to enjoy them based on our 50 years experience of the area. We do everything we can to make our guests feel special and try to provide everything they need to make a stay with us happy, relaxed and comfortable. We are proud to have won the Wales Welcome Host of the Year Award and to have been finalists in the Wales National Tourism Awards.
Minffordd is a small village 2 miles south of Porthmadog, the main holiday centre for the area. Porthmadog is the main terminus of Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland narrow gauge railways and has a busy harbour and a wide range of shops , restaurants and holiday facilities. Minffordd has excellent transport services, with local and national bus routes and stations for national and narrow gauge railways. Minffordd is an ideal centre for the exploration and enjoyment of the Snowdonia National Park and the nearby mountains and coast.
