Only stayed one night but it was positive experience. The facilities are very good. 20p for a shower though.
Small quiet friendly site. Great location, 10-15 minutes walk into Llangollen. Some pitches sloping and others small; modern washing up / laundry room; friendly owner; EHUs available; toilet/shower block in need of updating, clean but dingy and unheated. Would stay again when next in area, would have given it 5 stars if loo block had been better.
Brilliant site, enjoyed our weekend here. Beautiful views, great showers only a short walk to llangollen will deffo be going back !
Great site for a great price! It has all facilities you need which are basic but all function well. There is even a tumble dryer which came in very handy, and was reasonably priced to use. Definitely worth a walk up the hill to the ruins too!
Lovely view and nice friendly owners. The site is on a steep incline so be prepared for that. The disappointing things were the toilet and shower facilities. My wife and I tried to wash the dishes at about 9am. There are 4 sinks and not one had hot water. About 20 minutes later I tried to have a shower. These are very basic shower and toilet areas which appear to be some kind of converted farm building. To have a shower requires you to pay 20p for a 7 minute shower. To top this up requires you leaving your shower, unlock the door, go into the shared area and add another coin. You might think that paying this 20p guarantees you a nice hot shower but you would be wrong. It was ice cold!!! There are 2 tiny square mirrors approx 10cm by 10cm. In the men's toilets, once you close a toilet door you can't see as there is no lights in the actual toilet areas. There is only the lighting in the main shared area. The hand dryer did not work. There is also only 2 showers for men and 2 showers for the women which isn't adequate for the size of the site. There is hot water sometimes but it doesn't seem to be quaranteed when you need it. I don't think it is too much to ask to get hot water considering the £26 we paid.
Nice site. Toilets clean. Access very narrow on the lane to the farm . Owners very friendly and helpful. Great walks from site. Nice peaceful rural site.
Absolutely stunning location and views all round to die for!
This little jewel of a campsite is up there among one of the best we have visited!
The site has hard standings for caravan and motorhomes, all fully serviced, however there is 'The Field'!!! We pitched up in our motorhome just inside The field, where it is most level and WOW, what a view! Right over the valley.
It is about 20 minutes walk into Llangollen, down hill, however after you've had a glass of wine or two in one of the lovely pubs, you won't notice the walk back up!
The owners of the farm couldn't do enough to help and the lady in charge was so friendly and accommodating, can't recommend this site enough, can't wait to come back!
Just returned from a perfect weekend here. Perfect site, beautiful scenery,helpful,friendly owners. Facilities more than adequate, loos and showers clean and plenty of hot water. Lovely quiet site.... just as we wanted it to be. Walked in to Llangollen, and children didn't even moan about the walk back up the hill!!!! Happy days.... will definitely be coming back here.
Friendly campsite with nice views. Facilities are very basic and campsite is on a fairly large incline. Prices are a bit high relative to facilities but would consider staying there again.
