Coaches are on the journey back from Oakwood and the Dinosaur park. ETA is 5.10, depending on traffic.

After a fantastic, sunny day out at Oakwood, the children are on their way home and are expected to arrive back in Penarth for 5pm!

Whilst the rest of the Prep and Senior school children were at Oakwood, the younger children have been enjoying themselves at the Dinosaur Park. They all had an amazing time exploring the outdoor play equipment and learning dinosaur facts on the nature trail!

A sneak peek at all the hard work that has been put into our annual Prep School Art Exhibition. A collection of work from throughout the Nursery and Prep school will be on display during assembly this afternoon. Join us from 3.45 - 4.30 pm, in All Saints Church Hall, Penarth. You will be able to purchase your child’s work for £10 at the event.

Year 2 had a great time at Bristol Zoo. They even had a fur seal try to join their class! There were so many animals to see it was hard to choose their favourite!

Year 5 have been learning about family vocabulary in Spanish. They created family trees and presented them to the rest of the class using the vocabulary studied during lessons (family members, numbers, verbs). ¡Muy bien!

The lower years STEM club gave themselves the challenge of building a bridge from one table to the other that could support vehicles crossing it. They worked as a team and were very proud of their finished construction!

We are very excited to have workshops from Cook Stars running in our summer holiday club. Taking place every Wednesday morning; £90 for the 6-week course, with all ingredients included!

Congratulations to Grace and Charlotte who took part in their first triathlon with Maindy Flyers this weekend.
The event was a national event for triathlon clubs across Wales. It consisted of a swim/bike/run in age categories, with over 250 participants.
Charlotte placed 4th for the whole of Wales for her age category- joint 1st for her club!
... Despite Grace having problems with her bike chain coming off, she still ended up in top 10 for Wales and 4th or 5th for the club!

The rain didn't stop the Prep School children completing their daily mile walk this morning, in fact, it was our quickest one of the week! It's an excellent start to the day and means that the children are focussed and ready to learn.

Reception and year 1 have enjoyed a fantastic trip today to Pugh’s Garden Centre in Wenvoe. The children were treated to a hands on experience in their lodge, where they studied seeds, planted their own pumpkin seed, used their senses to explore herbs and investigated all that the garden centre had to offer; from outdoor plants, to the aquariums and even to the cafe to sample the cakes!

Holiday Club is so much fun! Here they are making ice cream cakes and painting bird houses. Stay tuned for Summer Holiday Club dates...

What a treat we had today as former Westbourne Prep pupil and 44 cap Welsh National Hockey player, Beth Fisher, prior to starting her new sports reporter job at ITV Wales, joined our Cross Country event at Cosmeston Lakes...even running a lap with the children. Huge thanks Beth, you were an inspiration!
