What Stores Cardiff

Very basic but prices are OK. No public toilets

Disappointed with the What store, Cardiff. After spending a reasonable amount of money on party items for a 70th Birthday , unfortunately they didn’t have the large number 0 balloon I required only the 7. I left the shop with 3 smaller helium balloons and headed to ‘The Range ‘ across the road for other items. managing to buy the large number balloons in the 7 and 0 and the range I was then told that they didn’t have any helium but maybe What shop would blow the balloons up at the small
cost, as the range offer this service. Going back to what shop , balloons in hand , having left there only half hour before , I was told that their policy was not to blow balloons bought from anywhere else.
I’m understand having this policy but sometimes a little bit of common sense and good customer service goes a long way. I’d have been happy to have paid a small price for the helium but it appears a that staff at the What shop are able or allowed to use their own discretion. Sometimes these little acts of customer service go along way.

Only go in for the helium Balloons they do. Great selection

Ideal if your looking for party accessories. Great Halloween selection and Christmas decorations. There are also loads of other departments such as kitchen equipment, home furnishings, pets, tools and more. A great place if your looking for a bargain.

Decent items for extremely cheap prices. Sometimes has a free bin at the front so have a look at that as well.

Good variety of items and staff very helpful and friendly

Carpark potholes, stock in disabled bays. Dropped curb blocked by cars. Too much stock outside, as a disabled person i found it difficult to walk into and out of the building.

Can find literally everything inside the store. Value for money
