Great food, good sized portions, friendly staff. Selection of Welsh ales on tap. Set menu deals are excellent value for money. Would recommend.

We hadnt been in a while until recently and they have refurbished at some point. It looks and feels super great though, hasnt lost any character in the update. The food is nice and consistent and plenty to choose from to drink. Best place for a pub lunch in the town.

This hotel based on 18th century design is such a great choice if you want to stay in the area! The rooms are really cosy and the staff are really friendly! They were willing to help with any problems I had (the extent was a loose nail I found) and they share some great stories! The food is also superb, I would recommend the American burger! Everyone there speaks Welsh and English as far as I could tell, in case you were wondering!

Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Considering the options available in snowdonia, this venue deserves 5 stars. Spacious room, functional bathroom and reasonable price. Only the food requires improvement like in any other place in this area.

Good value for money very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and always ask how your day has been. We actually ate there two nights running as we were staying on a camp site down the road. Family friendly and dog friendly. Great atmosphere.

The service was pleasant, knew some people. Food took a little time to come, but well worth the wait!

We only stopped in for a bite to eat but the food was good and the staff were very courteous. Would definitely visit again.

Planning a lunch with family, checked menus and photos online and looked like a good place. Phoned up to book and all seemed good.

Turned up on the day, was lead to a table and handed a carvery only menu. Checked with staff and apparently that was the only offering on a Sunday. No mention of this on the website, no mention of it when booking the table, full menu boards on display outside.

Part of the reason we chose this place was because of the broad scope of the menu to please several different people. They really should advertise this reduction in service to avoid disappointment.

Luckily found a great place up the road with a better offering and much better atmosphere.
