It’s been mainly dry but chilly week at the fishery and it’s been hard fishing. The pirates were on the new canal 1st Alan Godrich 52lb 9oz 2nd Jim Hutton 28lb 3oz 3rd Jason Pritchard 27lb 12oz White springs open on Sunday was on the match lake... 1st Peg 14 Lou Spinks 56lb 9oz Joint 2nd peg 11 Mick Brown 37lb 1oz and peg 13 Steve Horewell 37lb 1oz The final round of the winter league was on Sunday with six or seven anglers in the frame for the top spot. A big thank you to Nigel Morris on his hard work organising the competition, countless hours on the phone. On the pit Aaron Jewitt had a nice 21lb 2oz mirror Davy Jones had 4 fish including a 20lb mirror and a 22lb 2oz mirror. On the Specimen lake Graeme Andrews fished peg 7 and had Frosty at 32lb 3oz, Dan Smith fished 6a and had 2 fish the best a 22lb 8oz common, Leon Aubrey had 3 fish off 3a including 2 20lbers and then had 3 fish of the island including a new pb Mr Tuts a stunning common weighing 33lb 1oz, Anthony Needs had 2 fish of peg 7 including a nice 22lb 6oz mirror. This weeks report: The weather has been pretty bad this week very wet and windy. The pirates this Tuesday were on the pleasure lake and after a really hard days fishing in really bad weather 1st Gordon Furlong 25lb 4oz 2nd Alan Godrich 20lb 2oz 3rd Rob White 18lb 2oz... White springs open on Sunday was on the Match lake 1st peg 2 Nigel Morris 89lb 10oz on a pole using pellets 2nd peg 14 Rob Jones 48lb 13oz on a waggler using corn 3rd peg 10 Chris Wells 45lb 6oz on a pole using expanders On the pleasure lake Jason Dale Hiorns had a steady day catching carp and Bream, Dai John had a nice day fishing for silvers catching Chubb, Bream, Ide and a couple of Tench. On the pit Justin Davies caught a good few carp mostly Doubles. Callum Ridley caught a nice15lb 4oz mirror Alan Godrich had a nice 17lb common. On the specimen lake on peg 6a Jonathan Daniels had 2 fish including the ‘Warrior’ a cracking mirror at 37lb 8oz. on peg 3 Stuart little had 2 low doubles, Graeme Andrews fished 9a and had a nice 21lb mirror. fished there a lot in the past as lived 5 mins down the road but moved to bridgend now and travailing is hard there. so me and my bro drove up on sunday 13lb 8oz on the pit was my biggest of the day and had 8 mor fish in the day will b going again soon i hope but staff on the lake r amazing friendly ppl right around the lakes too its a must go for everyone.

What can I say with out a doubt the best fishery in Wales and up there with the best in Wales and England combined!! Run by very friendly staff who do a fantastic job! Definitely my favourite place to be!! I'd give it 10 stars out of 5 ���

Went there as a youngster, took will for his first time lake fishing, caught some nice fish on the float to get him going.

Lakes look spot on and they doing some work to keep the lakes looking good and fishing great.

The people running this fishery are doing a great 👍🏽 job the regulars who fish there are ever so helpful make new friends every time I have been there never disappointed. Catching a fish is a bonus.

The facilities are clean and of a top quality standard. The shop is very well stocked. Very Clean Environment. Great Stock of fish. White springs own boilies are just the bait you need for any lake on the complex. Very High Standard Fishery

Amazing place to be

Outstanding fishery with a great team of staff and balliffs great tackle shop which caters for all aspects of fishing great pegs and a bonus with cabins on some pegs but most of all a great head of carp which are in pristene condition with some nice lumps in there to catch be lucky people definitely a place to come back cheers 👍🏻🎣

It's a very good fishery well stocked with fish and always a challenge when fishing there would recommend to any one who loves there fishing go go go !!!!!

I love the place stunning fish a well run fishery and some top blokes on there and there all willing to help out at any time

I fished this as a boy when it was a trout lake and a coarse lake I returned last year and enjoyed it the only negative is. I had to pay full price for my Six year old well stocked tackle shop

Great place to fish. Had my first carp session there last weekend. Enjoyed every minute. With any luck will be back this weekend.

Great fisherie well run with a great team of staff on hand day or night with large stunning fish to be had by all on the specimen lake with cabins if needed and tons of smaller fish on the pleasure lakes set in a stunning place and a well stocked tackle shop for all your bait and tackle needs definitely will be coming back

Fantastic fishery and a great place to fish with excellent staff and balliffs with good nowledge of lakes and places to fish especially on spec lake,all pegs hard standing white springs shop got everything you need to fish and also you can hire items such as mats and craddles

Done my first 48hr at whitesprings this weekend was hard fishing with the cold weather but still seen some lumps come out I when on the big pit to finish my session hads 5 stunning carp and slab of a bream.stunning venue and the owners are very helpful and friendly will be getting a membership shortly keep up the good work :)

Beautiful fishery, excellent and helpful staff / owners and would highly recommend spending at least 48 hours on the specimen lake, get a cabin, it's well worth it! A much better experience than some of the "top name" venues out there!

As a 63 year old disabled angler, I can definitely recommend this fishery. Been an angler since being nine years old and this is one of the top commercial fisheries ever visited. Very helpful staff and a well stocked tackle shop. Bethan, the daughter of the owner, is a pure gem and is extremely helpful. Had a fantastic day on the new canal fishing waggler on top with corn on the bottom. Lucky to live close to the venue so can visit often. Can be busy at weekends.

Absolutly stunning location with exellent facilities and onsite tackle/bait shop and very well managed lakes with a head of beautiful fish too. Cant recommend the complex enough!! Brilliant!!

Not been down on the speci lake for a few years and its nice to see some large improvments water side then to bag a pb all i can say is

The complex accommodation in the log cabins was superb,

A fantastic place.very friendly staff always on hand to help.a well stocked lake,security perfect.will defo be back.shame a dog kept barking from over the way but that wont stop me coming again.cheers...badboybaits
