This amazing new stock, proper fairly traded as usual is extra special so I need to tell the story! Souleymane Ouedraogo is from Ouagadougou, the hot and red dusty capital of Burkina Faso, West Africa. He sows these bags in his own small workshop behind the railway station using recycled and packaging overrun, often from rice sacks. He already employs one person to help but hopes to grow his business. He passes on a massive thank you to anyone who purchases his funky products 🙏❤️

Awsome day at natural organic products Europe show. New products on their way! 😁 Vegan growth has been exponential! 6 years ago when I started people would run at the mention of vegan foods 😂 awsome to see. Apparently collegen is the new thing too! All good all amazing, so good to see this stuff spreading. And the so called 'blue planet effect' having a real impact on producers and the way they are thinking about how they package. Tired but happy 👍❤️😊

New Year Cleanse <3 Love your Body

After the indulgence of the festive period we really need to take time to indulge our bodies rather than our senses and give them what they really need for a change.
With lack of fibre, water, nutrients, too much salt, sugar, processed foods, alcohol, wheat, dairy and meat produced from conventional non organic farming, our bodies become overloaded with toxins, our immune systems become compromised, we feel unfit and are more susceptible to colds and infections. We get to a p...oint where we need a good detoxification. Theres a lot you can do.
Most importantly drink more water, eat less meat, wheat and dairy, cut out refined sugars, reduce caffeine and stimulants, include more organic food. All this does a world of good, but for an extra deeper cleansing there are some herbs that really help. Milk Thistle is an amazing herb, it contains Silymarin, one of the most potent liver protective substances known. Silymarin has been shown to increase Glutathione production up to 30% thus increasing detoxification capabilities significantly. Silymarin also stimulates the growth of healthy liver cells. Due to Silmarin's ability to rise Glutathione levels in the liver, antioxidant activity is greatly enhanced. Glutathione is used in the body to make Glutathione Peroxidase, the bodies most potent free radical fighting Enzyme. The flavonoid content of Milk thistle also exert direct antioxidant properties.
Green Algae such as Spiralina and Chlorella are very good detoxifiers, partly due to its high Chlorophyl content and is immune building by enhancing white blood cell activity, there is also evidence to suggest that it may have an inhibiting effect on viruses and other cell damaging influences.
Dandelion root contains very good detoxifying properties and has a long history of use as a tonic to the liver.
If you want to go further in your detoxification, fasting is very healing. Eating is taxing to the body, digestion and food assimilation uses up a lot of energy, if this energy isnt being used for digestion then its diverted towards healing. Time is needed for this though, ideally a few days as its not the best to carry on with ones day to day working life. If you are interested in fasting but feel this is a bit too rigorous and intensive, one can include vegetable juices. Whatever fasting is done is is very important to consume a good form of soluble fibre to keep the bowel moving, the bowel is the major eliminating organ if we don't go to the toilet toxins will get reabsorbed into the blood stream. Psyllium husk fibre is very good source of soluble fibre.

Oh My word!!! You guys are going to love the new clothes that will be arriving next week! They are beautiful, all sorts of styles (but the 100% handmade woollen pieces are really special) Fairly traded and not too expensive at all (thank goodness) Arriving in perfect time for Christmas along with tons of new gifts over the next couple of weeks. The clothes we have chosen also support CHILD RESCUE NEPAL. Currently they are working to raise money to get Bhumeswari Primary scho...ol a water supply, which they did not have. When children in Nepal attend school it also means that they are safer from trafficking and have a brighter future with an education. All items we will get from Nepal will have a child rescue Nepal tag. Each time our suppliers pay their suppliers in Nepal they pay a percentage of the invoice total directly to child rescue Nepal. Ooh I love my job. These clothes are seriously beautiful and we are researching hard to find items that will benefit everyone <3

A great shop at the heart of Newport and which is the heart of the community. My mum shops there everyday and as she becomes more elderly the owner Clare has asked all of her staff to keep and eye on her and make sure she is ok. You don't get that kind of service everywhere and it's really comforting to me to know that my mum is being looked out for in her local shop.

The food products are great and there is also a lovely range of gifts, clothes, and ornaments to browse through and buy!
