We visited Newcastle Emlyn in October for a family celebration and we wanted somewhere to sit and relax and have a meal before the evening commenced. Winnie’s was the perfect choice. We were made to feel welcome from start to finish. The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive. You could not ask for better service and nothing was too much trouble! We would highly recommend this family run establishment!.....we will definitely be back! Thank you to you all !
We had the most enjoyable evening here...having 3 courses of great food and couldn't fault a dish. Both our mains were meat that melted in your mouth. Fantastic to see a menu using lots of local producers. Will be back for sure.
We had the most amazing vegan afternoon tea with my two daughter's and grandson today. And would like to say a big thankyou for making an incredible vegan cream especially for us....it was delicious!! We will definitely be back �
We enjoyed a superb meal which was a journey of discovery for our taste buds. What a delight! The personal touch of flowers and a card when youbheard it was our anniversary was unexpected but much appreciated. We will definitely be recommending Winnie's to our friends and holiday cottage guests and will be back soon.
We booked in for a vegan afternoon tea here for this afternoon after being told that they cater well for vegans. We were blown away by the amount of effort that had been put in to it! We were presented with an amazing selection of wraps and pasties, chocolate Tiffin, Eton mess, chocolate mousse, scones and jam and cream- all vegan! The thing that impressed me the most was that they'd even gone so far as making vegan merringes for the Eton mess, which are not easy in my experience! Can't recommend this place enough- the owner/chef and staff were all lovely, chatty and couldn't do more for you. It was such a treat- thank you guys!
We ate here on wednesday, the service was speedy and polite and the menu was extensive. I decided to order the big daddy burger and it was exquisite, it was the best burger I have ever eaten. I would definitely eat here again.
We are always quick enough to complain, but never quick enough to praise, so Steph, firstly I apologise it has taken so long to leave a review.
My partner and I have recently moved to the area and while out one late morning exploring we decided to pop into Winnie’s at Number 11 for a coffee.
Upon finding a table we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us both a breakfast and lunch menu while taking our drinks orders. Feeling so welcome we decided to order food. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food we received and the size of the portion for the little it cost us.
We returned a few weeks later, having woken up one morning feeling a little worse for ware from the evening before, the sort of morning only a proper cooked breakfast will fix. We knew we’d get this at Winnie’s.
We ordered our food and while waiting I decided to look at some of the reviews others had left and were disgusted at how rude some people could be, constructive criticism is one thing, but getting personal is completely unacceptable! It sparked up a conversation with Steph, who might I add is lovely and in our opinion doing everything right! We were also fortunate enough to meet her mum who had turned up that morning to support Steph due to staff shortages.
To sum it up, we can’t fault Winnie’s. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, prices more than reasonable, and the food top quality and cooked fantastically, even on the new chefs first day, who cooked my vegetarian breakfast at only £5.95 perfectly!!!
We recommend Winnie’s to all of our friends and family and are looking forward to be able to attend one of the themed nights very soon.

The most amazing VEGAN afternoon tea ever. So imaginative and a perfect balance of savoury and sweet. The food really was first class and presented beautifully. You would have to travel far and wide to find another to match this. The staff were so friendly and welcoming too and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Will be back again...and again.

Pre booked Sunday Lunch for 5 people plus a 2 year old including 2.5 vegan options! I really can’t recommend Winnie’s enough. They went above and beyond to accommodate us all and the vegan choice was well thought out and very yummy (they even made a mini nut roast and mini dessert for my vegan nephew!). We were worried it would be too warm in there during the heatwave but it was lovely and cool! The chef spoke to us personally about our needs and the choices of vegetables etc was amazing. Beautifully presented and so so tasty- the beef in particular was a big hit! A fantastic start to our family holiday- we’ll be back!
Pictures from our meal at Winnie's @ No11, Newcastle Emlyn, SW Wales on 22/6/18. Without a doubt in my top 3 vegan meals I have eaten out in all my 28 years of being a vegan. Filo tarts: one with tom,veg and herbs, another with beetroot, courgette and varied quinoa and the last one with a creamy mustard and mushroom sauce. Dessert? Blackcurrant cheesecake made with avocado and flapjack base, served with a vanilla/coconut/cinnamon ice cream and edible flowers. Not only did it taste amazing the chef is not a vegan! She puts other establishments to shame and that includes vegan ones too. THIS is REAL vegan food. I could taste EACH ingredient, each herb, each texture. It wasn't sloppy and no junk food..no need for meat imitation. Perfect. As this was fine dining, the main meal was £15 but their usual meals are around £8.They always have vegan meals as standard and do a vegan cream tea. We will be booking our anniversary meal there NEXT year. Thank you for an amazing time :)
Outstanding quality of food, myself and my husband had Sunday lunch on Father’s Day and we weren’t disappointed. Fabulous presentation and taste to die for. Melt in the mouth beef, cooked to perfection. Today I visited and had a quiche of the day, again taste and presentation second to none. My compliments to the chef on a wonderful menu. A very talented lady indeed. Atmosphere warm and welcoming and staff happy to accommodate any request. A must place to visit. We will be back.
Once again delicious food today at Winnie’s. We attended for Father’s Day Sunday dinner, the roast beef was melt in the mouth ��, honestly for me the best roast in the area. Feel very lucky to have such a top class restaurant so close to home. Can’t wait to return.

Went for an evening meal on a cycle tour. When we tried to order mains we were told that one of the three options wasn't actually available, with nothing being said about it before that point.
After a good hours wait for food, without being told anything or anyone updating us on why it was taking so long, we were served tiny portions of extremely low quality food. The starter wasn't hot (although the plate was... So little wins I guess), the crab main didn't really taste of anything and the desert although advertised as "hot brownie" was stone cold and seemed straight out of the supermarket packaging.
Would very much recommend avoiding for food. (Can't comment on anything other than dinner obviously... But given the service maybe best avoided)
