Woody's Wood Oven is a mobile wood fired pizza oven owned & run by Chef Chris Nelson. Chris creates fresh homemade pizza dough which is then hand stretched & topped with his own recipe tomato sauce base. As many toppings are sourced locally as possible.
Woody is the ultimate street food experience, delivering hand stretched artisan wood fired pizzas by the roadside on a pop up basis in Wrexham.
Takeaway pizzas cooked fresh to order in front of your eyes the Neapolitan way.

Sadly, Jo, a very good friend of Nicky's died this week from Cancer. Jo was a midwife in The Maelor for a number of years & was a thoroughly nice woman who was also partial to a Woody's Wood Oven pizza on occasion. So, in memory of Jo, Chris & Nicky are going to be going SOBER FOR OCTOBER! Aaaargh! We have decided to raise money for Cancer Research in Jo's memory. Anyone who knows us, knows we do love a glass or two *cough* of red wine/gin/beer so this is going to be tough! If anyone can spare a few quid we'd be extremely grateful - Thank you in advance!

Don't forget, the Woody's family are back out again today at the Wrexham Food Festival. Yesterday we had Mrs & youngest Woody on the team but we also saw the return of the eldest Woody son! And he's back again today but then he's back off to Uni!

Just had the Goats cheese pizza and it was scrumptious, definitely be back for more.... yummy ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į

Had my first woodys tonight and wow it was amazing. Was quite busy but they were very quick and were ready in 15 minutes. I'm not a pizza lover but your pizza have converted me ’┐Į’┐Į will defo be returning.
Had a Woody's pizza on consecutive Fridays at The Bridge End Ruabon ; I have to say that these were the best pizzas I have had,certainly since coming back from holiday in Provence last August and possibly the best ever....without doubt they were the best value EVER!
Keep it going Chris and the rest of the lads - first class in every way!

First visit tonight. Really impressed. Lovely flavoured pizzas. We chose the margherita, the goats cheese mushroom pesto and black olives plus the garlic flat bread. Definitely going back. Just sat in the car to wait then waved over when ready... No more than ten minutes. Great concept!

An amazingly delicious pizza crafted by amazing people. The only problem is not being able to get delivery down to Norwich. Couldn't recommend more.
