NEW EVENT KLAXON!
Hey, it's Honey & Co
Sunday 22nd July 7pm
... We love having people to come and cook with us and the the chance to have the folks from Honey & Co in the Wright's kitchen is especially exciting.
We normally write a load of stuff here about our guests but on this occasion, we thought they've done it so well themselves it would be churlish not to simply quote that. So here's Honey & Co on Honey & Co....
"Sarit Packer – Was born in Northern Israel and has done a lot since: she has moved to London twice, she trained as a chef in Butlers Wharf cookery school, worked at the Orrery in Marylebone, rolled pasta by the beach, got married, made cookies in a disused chicken coop, ran an all day bistro, made truffles on the 8th floor of the OXO tower, headed the pastry section in Ottolenghi and set up Nopi in Soho as executive chef. She set up Honey & Co (with her husband) in 2012 and has slept very little since.
Itamar Srulovich – Was born in Jerusalem and moved to Tel Aviv to pursue his dream of becoming a backgammon champion beach bum – something he still aspires to be. He started his kitchen life in Orna & Ella, A Tel Aviv institution. He got married and moved to London where he cooked in the Oxo tower and headed the Kitchen in Ottolenghi before setting up Honey & Co (with his wife) in 2012. He only plays backgammon on holidays now.
Joint ventures; Honey & Co – A tiny diner serving traditional, homey Middle Eastern fair in London’s Fitzrovia set up & run by Sarit, Itamar and the most amazing team. Since opening we have published a cookbook that tells about setting up the restaurant and a baking book that tells about our daily routines at work. We have opened a little deli called Honey & Spice and a big Grill house called Honey & Smoke, both in the neighborhood, and we write a weekly column for the FT weekend magazine. Our latest book ‘At home’ is all about the food we cook in our own kitchen and our life outside of work, whatever there is of it."
Sarin and Itamar have just published that very lovely latest book and will be talking about it in conversation with Simon - the price includes supper cooked by Itamar and Sarit with some help from the Wright's team.
£35 including a glass of fizz on arrival.
Please book by email maryann@wrightsfood.co.uk or calling 01558 668929 during opening hours.

Went here on 11/05/18.

GREAT service from friendly attentive staff. Great food cooked by young, imaginative chefs. Delicious menu, fresh and locally sourced.

What more could you want?!

I just wish I lived closer so I could go more frequently but then again I’d be the size of a house!

The Brawn and the wild garlic linguine just two of the many fab dishes on offer!

User

Was at Cardiff yesterday had a few different nibbles, highly recommend the Burrata with wild garlic definitely will be back

User

Very good food 👍😁

Fast service

Price not very cheap

User

This place is just magical, beautiful flavours, welcoming staff, perfect service and it’s just very very cool.

User

Superb selection of interesting and classic.

Also a wine and deli - saw an empty Cantillon bottle in the bathroom (long, long, long, long shot, but is there any chance of getting some in?)

Lunch with coffees and a tip was £20

User

Second visit here and once again it was lovely. The food was delicious and the coffee is outstanding. I had my 15 month old daughter with me and the waitress went out of her way to make sure my daughter had everything she needed. Will be visiting again!

User

Really tasty rarebit with leeks and nduja and an amazing and perfect custard slice. Friendly and helpful service. All the cakes looked amazing and it was difficult to choose! Will definitely return and recommend.

User

My wife had lunch the other week and said we 'must' eat here.....she was right. I had the Chorizo and bean stew - wow! Fabulous breads, great staff - what a find - in the middle of 'nowhere' -well be back, and nice to meet you Lisa!!

User

My favourite restaurant, food was so delicious as usual. Staff are very welcoming and friendly - especially when my daughter acidently knocked a bottle of water over when she was putting her cardigan on. She was so upset - but your staff dealt with it so well and managed to stop her tears! Thank you, I can't wait for our next visit!

User

Lovely relaxed atmosphere and food to die for. I so recommend the raisin and nutmeg cheesecake.

User

It was my third or fourth visit to Wright's today. I ordered a cappuccino and halloumi sandwich. Both were delicious, especially the sandwich which was very well-balanced with grilled halloumi, roasted red pepper, pickled onions, green pesto and shoots served in their own sourdough.

There's a great vibe to this place with friendly and relaxed staff creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Superb background music. Good craft beer selection too. Would strongly recommend; will return!

User

Finding the words to describe the food and service here is a job for a linguist... or a thesaurus. Great, good, friendly just won’t cut it.

I will definitely be back to taste more of the delightful nosh you have on offer.

Today my wife & I had your outstanding Belly Pork Cubanos & Hollumi, Red Pepper Sandwich, both of which I throughly enjoyed.
