Stayed just 1 night June9th, staff are so helpful & efficient , nice comfy room and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was plentiful, would definitely recommend this hotel.

User

Nice and clean and helpful and polite staff…

A lot of food to pick from and a lot of alcohol to pick to boot

User

Lovely welcome. We arrived early and the hotel were very accommodating, getting us a room so quick well before check in.

Room clean and comfortable, good night's sleep. Great breakfast too. Will definitely stay again.

User

Great food and reasonably priced. Efficiently served despite Friday night rush. Good range. Could do with Wxm Lager to represent but all-in-all a great night. Diolch!

User

Brilliant had evening meal and breakfast all good and drinks very reasonable prices our room as we already knew from a previous stay here is small and basic but definitely clean and plenty of hot water had no problems with staff overall a very enjoyable stay

User

The manager Jean is a very helpful and attentive person' the room service/ is very hit or miss ' sometimes they wash the bath ' restock the tea and coffee and water and having biscuits in the room depends on which way the wind blows ' general feeling is that it's under staffed .

User

If you need b&b for a couple of nights at a good rate, this is the place for you. Our room was clean and fresh and the beds were comfy. The radiator however did not work and if you feel the cold, then you would have been a bit chilly. The bathroom was small but adequate with a loo, basin and bath with shower attachment. The storage space was minimal and we could have done with a couple of drawers but there was a hairdryer, kettle and usual teas, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, full English, toast, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, croissants etc. We found the hotel to be very good value for money at £65.00 for a twin room including breakfast per night. Only downside was that we found the building a little chilly so not sure if there was a problem with the heating system, or if it was just not switched on!

User

Room was nice, apart from bath room had same dirt in same places for 3 days. No wifi in our room when stated it was needed and all rooms have it as was travelling for work. Reception staff nice. Bar staff on night was rude, too busy on phones in the side part. Staff on breakfast in the morning was rude and lazy. Lots dirty tables ran out of lots of things had to ask for things yet three stood around talking. Cleaners left our room open left for event we was attending at 8 got back at 7.40 to find our room unlocked. Better staff and wifi sorted would have been a 4/5

User

I chose to dine here yesterday after my mother in law raved about the delicious home-cooking style roast she had on Sunday. I was instead greeted by an indifferent man who I assumed to be the manager. Once seated his waiter style seemed rushed and unconcerned and I felt like we were just another cheque at the end of his service. The other staff members seemed nervous and distracted when he was around. I enjoyed the food, it was well seasoned and wasn't waiting long at all. Our experience was ruined by the service.

User

Disappointing is about the nicest thing I can say about this place. Staff tried to be helpful (when they weren't on a fag break), but there weren't enough of them. Bedrooms not that clean, decor tired, no hot water. An experience I won't be repeating.

User

Window wouldn’t close in our room and power tripped off 4 times in 1 hour hopeless

User

Stayed here with my family. Breakfast was the only thing I ate that day, later I was sick, my daughter was sick, my partner was sick in the night. Other family members had joined us that day and stayed the night. All had breakfast. Later on my mum, my partners mum, her aunt and my brother were all throwing up. Really knocked us about! Went to the doctors today as my daughter is still having stomach problems, hope to get lab results soon and hopefully tell us what it was. What a way to celebrate my graduation! Luckily I was ok for the day, apart from that the staff were friendly and attentive.

User

Just been to the Wynnstay for our works Christmas meal. We were meant to eat at 8, but our starter didn't come out until 9. Then the main course not until 10 (and the main course was poor quality). We finished eating our dessert at half past 10. Not good enough when we booked months in advance and pre ordered our choices. We were only offered free bottles of wine as a sorry, however this wasn't good enough as three of our party had to leave without even being able to eat their main and dessert, plus a lot of people were driving so couldn't enjoy the wine. There were only two waitresses serving us plus having to run the bar (the waitresses did a great job) but the management really need to work out their staffing. Do not eat here for your work christmas meal!!!!
