Got abducted by a cosmic goat. Was fun .

Stunning location, the room was basic, as you would expect. The building could be the jewel in YHA's crown with some investment. We stayed in The Coach House, which had 6 family rooms, supported by a choice of showers and toilets and a large kitchen and dining area. HOWEVER its huge let down was a tiny under counter fridge with two shelves which was ludicrously insufficient to support 6 family rooms, especially in an area where shops are few and far between . As a result one young family newly arrived from Europe ended up leaving their food overnight in their car. The fridge.was so crammed, I am sure food contamination was a serious risk. I do hope this situation can be resolved quickly.
Apart from that , generally it was a pleasant place to stay.

This is a good place to stay in the snowdonia area. There's no signal and no wifi there, just so you know 😀

Beautiful location overlooking Llyn Gwynant and surrounded by pleasant hiking trails. Offers meals (if booked in advance) and a self catering kitchen. Rooms are basic but clean. The beds are all rather squeaky! N.B. reception is only open 08:00-10:00 and 17:00-22:00.

Outstanding - iconic - location, and a fascinating building with lovely grounds. The house martins flit all around, and the hostel is surrounded by unspoiled native woodland with easy access to the lakeside. Good choice of public and private bed-rooms, well-stocked library, and members kitchen with all the right equipment. Friendly and tolerant wardens. Ideal base for tourers, climbers, cyclists and walkers. Staff were very relaxed and let me charge my electric car through the window overnight.
Wifi would be helpful!

Bedrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. Generally a good price for what it is, and very close to the Watkin path.

Local to everything in the Snowdonia Park. Staff are helpful and say hello if they see you out and about :) has most facilities you want and everything you need :D
