Booked a table, had to wait for several diners to arrive before ordering due to "another similarly sized group arriving soon". After both groups arrived the dining area was over half empty still. Received an incorrect meal, ordered a rump steak cooked medium and was given a sirloin cooked rare. Peppercorn sauce was just creamy with no tastable trace of pepper. Serving staff weren't great either. Wouldn't recommend or visit again.

My wife and I visited this premises about a month ago. It's a lovely place divided up into a decent traditional pub on one side and a lovely restaurant on the other. In addition there is a beautiful beer garden which overlooks the river. All in all a lovely setting. We received a lovely friendly welcome from the lady behind the bar. We will definitely return here 😊

Recently refurbished, this restaurant is even better than it was before - and it was good then. Before, it was 'quaint'. Now it is more modern, but still retains the family friendly atmosphere we loved before!
We have never had a bad meal there, the staff are friendly, warm and welcoming and it really is our restaurant of choice in the area.

We visited for drinks and a meal. We sat in the really lovely beer garden overlooking the river. The meals were delicious and the portions were generous. I had the turkey and leek pie and it was packed with turkey. We would definitely return.

Having undergone refurbishment this place offers chic decor somewhere to stay and the best menu around locally. Not the cheapest for drinks but food such good value for money that overall it balances out. Great location next to the river and beer garden. Crayons for the children and colouring book. Any chance of some garden play equipment.?

Lovely view of the river. Fairly large beer garden Nothing to keep kids occupied in the way of play equipment eg swing, slides etc so the kids were quickly bored. The bar staff appeared stressed not welcoming to new visitors.

Has just been fully refurbished. Looks lovely, clean and modern. The food is always stunning and very reasonable. They offer a carvery every lunch time In the week. There was plenty of food in the carvery. All veg and meat was stunning. The chef is so lovely and friendly too. It came to £43 for 4 carveries, 4 drinks and 2 desserts! Can't fault it! Staff are very helpful and accommodating....but the lady owner can be a bit miserable and abrupt but you kind of get used to her. Would definitely visit again and again.
