Due to factors beyond our control, there is a requirement to postpone the school flu immunisation sessions planned for the first two weeks after half term.
Sessions planned for the weeks commencing 4th and 11th November (on the attached programme) will be re-booked with the school as soon as the team are able to do so.
Parents of 2 and 3 year old children and children with a long term health condition should make an appointment with their general practice to have the vaccine....

The school immunisation team start their 11 week programme on Monday, September 30th.
School nurses, Emma and Cerys, attended an open evening hosted by Nant Gwyn Community School for parents and children of year 5/6 students to talk about public health messages, including immunisation.
The flu immunisation team will be in the school on November 12th.

Staff of Pont Newydd Medical Centre have taken on the one million step challenge for Diabetes UK Cymru, led by GP Karen Pascoe.
Eleven staff are taking on the challenge to improve their own fitness and support Diabetes UK Cymru, inspired by their patients with diabetes.
Challengers must walk more than 10,000 steps a day in order to reach a total of one million by 30 September, getting sponsored for every stride.
