All of our Year 6 to Year 9 pupils plus those in Year 10 & Year 11 taking GCSE Computer Science, are taking part in the annual #bebraschallenge this fortnight. Congratulations to year 6 pupil, Ned, who qualified to take place in the Wales Mini Masters Final, held at the Celtic Manor last week playing the Montgomarie Course. Ned was one of 5 players from Milford Haven Golf Club who got through to the final to play some of the best junior golfers from across Wales.
Well done to Caroline, Poppy, Liah, Chloe, Caitlin, Isabel and Nathan and who recently participated in the Fishguard musical theatre society's production of Magic of the Musicals. Congratulations on your excellent performance!
Well done to Year 11 pupil, Anwen, who represented Lowri Jones school of dance in Rugley on the 27th October. She placed 1st in freestyle under 16s and 4th in slow.
Well done to Year 9 pupil, Maisie, who played in Builth Wells Golf Club in the Welsh Inter Counties Final during half term. Maisie was picked to represent Milford Haven Golf Club in a team of 6 players. Unfortunately they didn’t win but the whole team played extremely well and enjoyed playing against the best golfers from all over Wales.
Secondary Cashless Meal Payments: A Reminder from Catering Services - All pupils must use either the biometric or cashless card system to purchase food from the school canteen. Any pupils who need to be issued with a new card or register on the biometric system can go to the school canteen for assistance. Many thanks
Election of Parent Governor: Three Applications have been received to fill the Parent Governor Vacancy at Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi. Therefore, ballot papers have been sent home with all pupils. All parents/carers have a right to vote. Please return Ballot Votes to the Dewi Campus by 10am on Monday 11 November.
In recent matches against Greenhill School our rugby teams lost at Year 7 , but won at Year 8, 9A and 9B, as well as a fixture at U.16. Two great afternoons of school sport in the sunshine!
Congratulations to year 10 pupils Mai, Matthew, Caitlin, Ffion, Lauren, Katie, Max and Ricky-Lee who all successfully completed the British Heart Foundation Heart Start course. In completing Heart Start the pupils learnt vital first aid skills including: Recognising a heart attack and cardiac arrest; helping an unconscious person including the recovery position; how to perform CPR; helping someone who is choking and responding to serious bleeding.
