Pte Goldsby has this week started an 18 month attachment with JSMTW Castlemartin. She will be trained and then lead multi activity AT in Climbing, Mountain Biking, Summer Mountaineering and Kayaking.

Whilst some of our Soldiers spend this weekend brushing up on their skills in the UK, we have SSgt Cardwell using his specialist knowledge in support of Ex TRIDENT JUNCTURE in Norway.
He is deployed with 6 Regiment RLC and will be providing them with close logistics support throughout their time away.

Today marks the beginning of Ex BARBARIAN MOBILITY at Swynnerton Camp where our Soldiers are learning the basics of operating in the field in vehicles. It starts with a walk through talk through taking them back to basics.

Whilst everyone else was heading to bed last night the MTWO and LCpl Thompson visited the local Fire Station in Canley to meet the Green Watch.
The idea was to give the firefighters an understanding of our vehicles, specifically the MAN SV truck, so that in the unfortunate event of an accident they have had some familiarisation into our vehicles. There is a plan for the firefighters to visit the local reserve centre in the future where further road safety opportunities will ...be explored.

As we come towards the end of our alternative Driver Training Camp the Soldiers are continuing to learn to drive military vehicles both on and off road and across very challenging terrain. As well as driving they’ve learnt how to maintain their vehicles correctly.
The QM paid a visit to the guys during the week and was impressed by the standard he saw. Driver Training is a key tenant of Logistics and a huge thank you to the MTWO and his team for delivering such a fantastic package.

To honour mental health awareness day yesterday, members of the RHQ conducted a recce for future iterations of leadership and team ethos development.
Various studies have concluded that there is a positive link between hillwalking and reducing stress levels. It also challenges people in often adverse conditions and showcases inner strength.

Our alternative Driving Camp continues...
The soldiers have been honing their military skills through firing weapons, learning about improvised explosive devices on top of working on their fitness and completing their annual fitness test.
The soldiers will continue their training this week and will go back to their squadrons with a host of new qualifications and skills!

294 Sqn RRMT out at Wyndham park, an amazing day with the all the local services, for their Police in the park event.

This week saw 16 students commence their annual camp through driver and military training.
Skills included rebranding and palletising ammunition containers and loading them onto vehicles safely; a vital skill when moving stores from one location to another.
