Ryan and the Team at Afford A big thank you to Ryan and the team at Afford for coming to my rescue last Saturday. I broke down on the motorway late Friday evening and did not home till 2am. I needed to hire a car at short notice the next day and 2 firms that I booked with let me down leaving me literally stranded. Rode Heath Scout Group.

Hired a 17 seat minibus for our annual Scout summer camp, this year to Normandy, France. We have hired from Afford at Fenton since we first started doing summer camps in 2010 and the service and price has been fantastic every time.

The minibuses are always clean, modern and reliable and this time, even has aircraft style luggage racks and air conditioning, which was a real bonus for driving around Normandy in the summer, as well as comfy reclining seats, (a big thumbs up from the Scouts)!

I would also like to personally mention Lee from the Fenton branch, who we dealt with from booking the vehicle back in March, (when he gave us a huge discount, being Scouts), right through to sorting the Europe documents and collection of the vehicle.

Popped into stoke branch yesterday after selling my own car, forgot it was bank holiday so they were low on availability of cars . But they managed to find me an automatic to rent , and it was reasonably priced too. Can also drop it back to the crewe branch for no extra cost as well. Great service .

Last week we were let down by a major hire co at the very last minute, We needed to be at Eurotunnel for 7am Saturday morning. So I called and spoke to Mike at 4.30pm Friday afternoon at the Stoke branch. He broke his back to get us a vehicle that evening. We're in bury lancs and wouldn't have made it to the depot. So he had a minibus transported to Crewe which was nearer for us to collect. And Lesley waited for us to arrive at Crewe, our holiday to France was made possible. Even got a brand new vehicle !!! Fantastic service. Well done everyone at afford. Will definitely recommend you guys !!!

I've been meaning to leave a review for a while, which shows how impressionable the service is. I wanted to say Thank You to the team at Afford Crewe, with special attention to Les and Lee for their consistently outstanding customer service. As soon as you enter the building (and quite often outside on the parking lot by Steve) you are welcomed by staff like an old friend. The lighthearted conversation, genuine concern and polite etiquette all always makes interacting with Afford Crewe memorable.



It's not what they say, but it's how they make you feel- VALUED. It's not often in today's busy society that you get to say "Hello, how are you today?" and mean it, but the team at the Crewe branch go above and beyond to make their customers feel special in the service they provide.



I've prolifically hired vans for work and cars for personal use (when my car was in the garage for ten weeks) from both the Crewe and Stoke Branches; but always received the same outstanding level of service from Crewe Afford so for this reason always prefer to use the them where I can. Crewe Afford staff have that something that we accept loss of and trade off for monetarily cheap goods and services from every other bargain-basement business.



Quite often as a consumer when you get a bargain, you expect for this saving to mean a discounted value somewhere else (similarly the supermarket experience of hurried staff throwing your goods at you, or quality issues we regularly face in e-commerce that ties hand-in-hand with postal delays from global imports to get that bargain price). We expect, as a consumer to lose something in exchange for that "best deal" and it's something in British culture that has been somewhat accepted as the norm and forgotten - that customer service really matters.



As thus I would HIGHLY recommend the Crewe branch to everyone for their consistently outstanding customer service; not only do you make a huge saving on vehicle hire relative to their competitors but are made to feel welcomed and valued as a customer and a person.

I decided to hire a car for the first time on 2/12/17, and I decided to choose Afford, due to their all in one pricing. They were great from start to finish, and since then I've used them another two times since, and will continue to do so in the future. The staff are great, friendly and professional. So far, I've hired a 17 plate Hyundai i10, and two 67 plate Toyota Aygos, and out of the two cars, the Aygo is the best. I might hire the Bmw MSport at some point, maybe for my birthday in July. Fabulous company. Never had any trouble with them and they were fantastic when they were dealing with my last booking (booked through Sixt, who Afford are an agent for). Sixt are a bunch of daylight robbers, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask - however, Afford sorted everything out smoothly and in a really friendly manner. Very happy with the service, Lee and Dave were great and the van was in good order. Highly recommended.

I regularly rent a mini bus once a year for a works trip to the races. This year we ( as usual) booked it on line, however the way the online system now emails back to confirm the reservation, which we apparently didn’t get. We arrived at 4 on a very busy Friday to find there was no bus for us, I was having thoughts about how I could let 15 people down who were looking for the a day out in Doncaster. Tickets were booked and we had reservations for an Indian restaurant, it was at this point that Les took over, he rang head office to see if we could get any more buses from them, he even rung there competition up to ask them. But as we had the correct paperwork Les made a executive decision and completely made our day by saying we could have one of his buses. We went to the races the next day and had a brilliant time, we couldn’t pick a winner though but you anybody who needs to hire a vehicle could by using the guys at Crewe, Les you made our day . So yesterday we hired a van from afford in Crewe, so that we could move some stuff for my nan, this was all well and good to start off with.

Until this happened, my mum put her phone in the door pocket at the top while getting in and out, once back in the van she went to shut the door and we heard a crunch only to find that the book she had put the phone in while getting in actually goes under the dashboard and has now damaged her handset, to the point it is unusable, with a cracked screen around the speaker that would leave bits of glass in her ear. After phoning a local repair shop to see how much it would cost to get fixed I was told it would be £130 just for the screen. My mum can not do without a phone due to having daily contact with my 79 year old grandad. Therefore this only left one option, buy a new phone. When my mum took the van back and told the guy what had happened to her phone his reply was "oh am expensive day then", surely there should have been a warning about that pocket and the least afford could have done is offer a good well jesture.



Pictures below show the damage to my mums phone and also show the pocket that the phone was in but it would have been on the drivers side.



Just to add as well that the phone was in a protective case.

rubbish. booked online last night, made our plans to travel from uttoxeter this morning to collect only to receive an email saying the car selected is not available. i rung them up and was put on hold to then be picked up by 3 different people asking if i was a totally different name????

Wouldn't recommend. The gentleman at the desk was very rude and because i didnt have a credit card which he asked for, i only had a debit can and cash, so because of this i couldn't hire.
