Join me on this sea and landscape photography workshop on the iconic coastline of Anglesey and Menai.
Just a few locations with spectacular and classic views. We will visit the three iconic lighthouse locations but discover there is more than lighthouses to photograph as the stunning natural coastal landscape and shoreline provides a rich tapestry of opportunities.

Penmons Point's Trwyn Du Lighthouse Twr Mawr Lighthouse South Stack Lighthouse Church in the sea Anglesey is a large island of 220 square miles of mainly farmland but the coastline is excellent for photography with sandy coves, harbours, rocky headlands in addition to the lighthouses. We will also explore some other areas, Parys Mountain, once the worlds biggest copper mine which has been used in many science fiction films and TV shows for its martian like coloured appearance.

This is a good chance to learn and practise using the exposure triangle to balance ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture to create the effects you want.
Shooting at night presents challenges and opportunities as we learn to see how light and dark tones contrast and how long exposure times can create dynamic pictures.
£75 for 2.5hrs around Kenilworth Castle grounds

Really helpful. Very easy to order vouchers for a friend's birthday gift. He received the gift within an hour of me making the purchase. He's thrilled.

User

Opened my mind to different ideas, and helped with the understanding of how the camera functions work. I now see things differently through the lens.

I’ve completed a wide range of courses and workshops with Alan, I’ve enjoyed all of them and I would recommend him to anyone. His time, patience and vision for photography has taken me from someone who thought they’d sign up for a beginner’s course to find out more about the dials on my camera, to someone with a keen interest in landscape photography who is learning more about photography than they ever knew existed. Alan will always give an honest opinion alongside help, advice and support.

I've just completed the 5 week beginners course with Alan and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I've tried many times over the last year to get my DSLR 'off auto' and this time I think I've grasped the concepts, I just need to get out and practice. I've also now booked the follow-on course for Lightroom.

User

I'm thrilled with how much my photography has improved this last year with Alan's tuition, excellent critiques and encouragement. Would recommend his courses/training to anyone

User

I joined one of Alan's groups as a complete beginner, not even knowing I could take my camera off auto settings. Over the last 2 years I have attended many of Alan's workshops both technical and field based and have enjoyed every single one and met some great people. I have learned so much from how to use the settings on my camera and the technical aspects of photography to photo composition and processing in Lightroom. I would recommend Alan to any level of photographer, he really does have something to offer everyone who wants to learn more.

User

I have done several courses and workshops with Alan and each time I leave feeling inspired, more knowledgeable and keen to learn more. I have a very busy life with two young children, a dog and a demanding job but because of the variety of courses I can always find something to sign up to that will fit with my time constraints meaning I can still feed my love of photography (even if not as much as I would like!). Alan is very skilled in his art and passionate about creativity and bringing people on. Also an honest critic, I will definitely continue my journey in photography with him and would encourage others to as well.

User

I have done a number of both courses and workshops with Alan. Not only are they very informative but also very enjoyable.

Alan has a talent for teaching as well as for photography and explains everything clearly. He is always honest in his opinions and critique of images, The help, advice and support he is prepared to give is invaluable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him. My photography has improved immensely with his help in the 4 years I have known him
