Christmas Surprise We stayed here as a Christmas surprise from my husband. What a wonderful place! From the moment we entered the hotel we were met with a warm welcome and the cheery face of hotel manager Malcolm. We booked a suite in the old part of the building and we weren’t disappointed. This is a very old building full of nooks, crannies and creeky floorboards but it delivers charm by the bucketload! We ate at the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast next mornin...g. The food was cooked perfectly and presented to the table steaming hot by very attentive staff. The owner, Paul, introduced himself during our evening meal and was informative and easy to chat with. The personal touch and attentive manner of all staff here makes this a special place. It was our first visit, but will certainly not be our last. Thanks to the Albright Hussey team, We will see you again, Wendy and Michael Gajda

Where do myself and my husband begin to start.....

Albright Hussey manor held our wedding last weekend and the only way to describe the whole day is -SIMPLY STUNNING

Paul,Mel, Terry, Malcom and the whole team made our day better than our wildest dreams!

From visiting the venue for the first time to the very end, it was phenomenal.

Every detail thought of. Every aspect of the day was perfectly planned and put together. Nothing was too much trouble for all the team there!

Even when my niece ( 1 year old) wasn't very well, Mel and Terry and Malcom did everything possible to help her feel better.

Nothing was too much trouble and i could go on and on how much they did for us .

Everyone who works there is an absolute credit to the business.!

We recommend Albright Hussey to everyone who wants to have the best day of their lives !

Again from myself and my husband, we are forever grateful for making our wedding day the best day ever and stress free throughout.

All our love, Mr and Mrs Barlow xxx

What an amazing wedding venue. My daughter's wedding was just a magical fairy tale from beginning to end. From the minute we checked in nothing was too much trouble. All the staff are so approachable and made us feel so welcome. The organisation was seamless and the attention to detail amazing. To Paul and the rest of your team (sorry I didn't get individual names) thank you for a truly spectacular experience to remember forever.

Well where do I start? We got married here just yesterday and it was the most perfect day ever! The staff were so kind and welcoming, the food was amazing, the venue is absolutely stunning and everything went so smoothly! All our guests had a fabulous time and were all very complimentary about the whole day! There was a slight worry we may not have been able to have the outdoor ceremony we had dreamed of but the staff pulled out all the stops and made our dream come true.

Paul did an amazing job planning out our day to make sure everything went perfectly and it was his lovely personality and personal touch and interest in our day that drew us to the venue, obviously it was also down to the beautiful settings and surroundings.

Also a special mention to Malcolm who was so friendly during dinner and breakfast myself and my bridesmaids adored you!

It was a magical day that we will never forget

We have just returned from a beautiful stay at the Albright Hussey, well what can I say!! From check in to check out everything was first class, such friendly attentive staff, we had the most beautiful suite complete with a huge bathroom which had a four poster Bath.... the whole suite was aesthetically decorated to the period of the Manor which to me makes for such a wonderful feel and atmosphere... breakfast was freshly cooked to order and again was wonderful, as was Dinner..... I had a brief glimpse of their wedding venue and wow it looked equally as beautiful as everything else..... My only negative of our stay is that we couldn’t have stayed longer....

I would highly recommend if you want total relaxation in beautiful surroundings xx

User

We had the most wonderful wedding day thanks to team Hussey, everything was perfect and the guests loved the building, grounds and food, one guest who had never been before has been so impressed they have booked to come back. Many thanks .

User

We had an absolutely perfect day back in April - staff were amazing, and answered everything I could think about, and went above and beyond! A perfect location, and amazing staff, everyone who came from many areas of the UK all had nothing but praise for every part! Thank you all so much! <3

There was a tiny bit of fluff on the carpet, I didn't see it, but someone mentioned it in passing. Yes that it the only thing that wasn't perfect when Claire and I got married at The Hussey yesterday.

The Wedding literally organised itself (and not because I left it to Claire to organise it). The team at The Hussey did everything for us and more.

Special thanks to David, Malcolm and Paul.

When I managed to get gravy all down my shirt (I'm a little clumsy) Paul popped home, lent me shirt, laundered my original shirt, and had it ironed and back on my back ready for the first dance. That really is going the extra mile.

Both of us didn't want the day to end, and Claire's daughter wants us to get married again tomorrow!

Thank you all for a wonderful day we will never forget!

Stayed here at the weekend for a good friends wedding.

The venue is an architects dream!

Lots of original Tudor features and well kept from wonky floors to windows. We stayed in the annexe, more up to date but clean and well kept.

The room for the wedding reception was beautifully done up and the gentleman on the bar was funny and polite.

The reception staff and restaurant staff are also very friendly and helpful.

The highlight for me was Malcolm. I feel he went above and beyond for other guests and for myself - he sourced oat milk, just so I could have a coffee in the morning!!.

The price includes breakfast but for only a surcharge of £5, you can have this delivered to your room (order before 10pm previous evening)

We did and It arrived still steaming, it was throughly enjoyed!!

I highly recommend this venue and hope to pass through again

Not sure where to even start...

We got married at Albright Hussey Manor on 6th June. We knew that this was the venue for us the first time that we visited. It is a beautiful building with the perfect setting for a wedding. Paul went through the whole wedding options with us and stayed in contact throughout.

On the day of the wedding we didn’t have to worry about anything, everything was set up for us. Everything ran on schedule and smoothly. We had our wedding outside with perfect weather. The room for the meal and evening do was perfect for our theme and pretty enough to just add subtle decorations.

The meal that we were served for our wedding breakfast was beautifully presented and served quickly, everyone was eating at the same time and without big waits between courses. We have a young son that slept through the meal but once he woke up he was given a fresh meal, all of the staff were lovely with the children.

Once the evening guests had all arrived everything was organised again, the cutting of the cake and the first dance. With the lovely weather a few people enjoyed being outside which wasn’t a problem with the attached outside garden, people could be outside but still be included in the events. We hired the DJ that Albright Hussey use, he was great and played a wide variety of music even a number of rock hits that we all loved. I don’t think I left the dance floor for most of the night.

The next day all of our decorations had been put together ready for us to collect.

A few people told me that something would probably go wrong but no one would notice, but If anything did go wrong we didn’t notice it ourselves either.

Even 3 weeks later everyone is still talking about what a perfect and beautiful day it was. We would love to relive it again.

Thank you so much to the whole team that worked so hard to make our special day perfect. This review doesn’t do the day justice, we would recommend anyone to get married here.

Looking for wedding venues is a tough thing, you want it to be perfect. Well, look no further. When we were driving up the track to the Albright Hussey we weren't too sure want to expect. We had no appointment and had never been before despite living locally. Terri welcomed us with open arms and kindly showed us around the venue and gave us attention as if we did have an appointment, answering all of our wedding questions despite not actually being a coordinator. We instantly fell in love with the place and were promptly put in touch with Paul who became our rock during the planning and lead up to the wedding. We asked for unthinkable things (yes, chicken nuggets for canapés for example) and were met with things beyond our wildest dreams. The day was just perfect. The team could not have done anything more and everybody was just commenting how wonderful it was. We fully relied on Paul for the Ceilidh band, which we hadn't seen before, and the band were wonderful and also relied on Paul to book the DJ and he was just fantastic playing a full range of songs! Thankfully, the pizza party was up and running so we had that for evening food and it was INCREDIBLE. I cannot recommend it enough - not only was it super fun but it was SO tasty! All of our guests loved it and said it was the best thing! We cannot thank Paul, Mel, Terri and the team for ALL of their help and for just making the day spectacular.

I've just come back from my daughters wedding weekend at the Albright hussey manor and have got to say it's one of the best.my daughter took us here to show us the place a year ago and as soon as we pulled up I knew this was the place for her.the grounds are stunning, the staff are friendly and professional.the room that we stayed in was the top floor sweet and wow.took us a bit of time to get used to the stairs lol but well worth it.and just to finish,Paul subbiani you have one of the best managers and persons I've ever had the privilege to meet,he went out of his way to make everything run smoothly, nothing was to much trouble, keep hold of this one,you won't get much better.and finally I'm really looking forward to many more stays here.we used to go back on our anniversary to the hotel me and my wife got married until it burnt down,I think we've found a replacement in the Albright hussey manor

User

I'm not even sure where to start because everything is so perfect! We were married here on 21st July and we fell for this venue the second we saw it and we knew our day had to be here. Communication is key for any couple planning their wedding and Paul and his team understand that perfectly. Nothing is too much trouble for the Hussey team and a special shout out must go to Terri, Kirsten, David and Malcolm without whom our day wouldnt have run as smoothly with perfect timing. Our guests all commented on the setting being so beautiful and that the food was incredibly good! In short if you're planning your day pay this venue a visit you'd never regret it!

I was lucky enough to be exhibiting at the summer wedding fayre last Sunday and it was an excellent well run day. It was really busy and all the exhibitors were so wel looked after by Mel and the team.

Lots of contacts and looking forward to being Toastmaster at a wedding there in the future.

I haven't been to the Albright Hussey for several years and wasn't really sure what to expect when I booked a weekend away for my husbands Birthday.

I really didn't need to worry. There aren't enough words to say just how special the staff made us feel this weekend.

Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to even the smallest detail didn't go unnoticed.

The Royalist Suite was magical, the food delicious and the wine cellar extensive.

Thank You

Hubby booked us in for Mother’s day lunch. We were greeted by Malcolm the General Manager who was incredibly warm & friendly. We took a seat in the bar and our drinks order was taken. The drinks quickly appeared along with a little canapé for us. Our food order was then taken and after a few minutes we were taken through to the restaurant. A beautiful period room. The food was truly delicious and the gift wrapped plant for the ‘mums’ was a nice touch. Will definitely return and highly recommend. Lovely grounds for a wedding/party/gathering.

Honesty don’t know where to start. We got married here on Friday 24/08/18. If your looking for a professional, intimate wedding then the hussey has it all. Every single person had nothing but 5* reviews for the food. The grounds are perfection. Staff are extremely friendly and make you feel at ease and relaxed all day. Nothing is too much for them. The owner Paul is one of the nicest people we have met, and the fact he included himself personally in our day was an amazing touch (on his on anniversary, which we can now help him to remember). We will be returning yearly to remember our special day. Whether it’s for a wedding, night away, or just a meal we cannot recommend this manor enough. Not a single bad word to say. Thank you all

Lovely building surrounded by fields. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately my husband was feeling unwell and wasnt able to enjoy his meal. My meal was fantastic and when the waiter found out he wasnt well he got him some cammomile tea to settle his stomache. A lovely relaxing stay otherwise.

User

Stayed here for my partners works xmas party. I'll start with the positive. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpfully as too was the bar tender in the cocktail bar.

Now for the negative. For a 4 star hotel the rooms are desparatley in need of a refresh - very tired and dated, and need a good clean. We had the unfortunate pleasure of being right next to the laundry room. From 7.30am you've no chance of sleeping unless you like the sound of washers, dryers and housekeeping chatting away!! Sort your acoustics out.

If you want drinks use the cocktail bar over the main bar, better selection of drinks (and they only sell fevertree tonic in the cocktail bar - why ruin a gin with Schweppes tonic in the main bar!!).

Food was average, salmon was overcooked, and the vegetarian option was mediocre at best - it looked pre-made with little flavour. Opted for some room service later on......after 20 mins of calling I gave up and went to find some staff (at 1.30am and with 24hr room service). The unhelpful bar staff wasn't interested and directed me to the manager. He looked startled that a customer wanted room service (only had a selection of sandwiches on offer........that took 15 - 20 mins).

Summary - pretty poor really for a 4 star venue. My advice is to pay a few extra bob and stay at the Albrighton Hall up the road, or find a place in town. The place should have so much more to offer, but sadly on our night it didn't. Came away feeling disappointed.
