Time flies when you are having fun at ALM Translations. These photos and invites are firmly kept in my laptop bag to remind me of company events. From working in a garage 16 years ago, to now having weddings, a 50th and plenty of ALM babies. Hoping our 17th year ends being our best year yet with a fantastic team and lots of great plans coming to fruition for our 18th year!

Bake off day - from authentic French-made Quiche Lorraine, to Polish Pierogi and Spanish Tortilla and good old English sausage rolls, we all had a go at cooking something that represented ourselves yesterday. Followed by Rocky Road, Banana cake, Apple and Lemon Tart - Team ALM is really feeling the sugar fest from yesterday!! However, it is Vera's birthday today, so more cake is in order as well as party blowers and hats! Happy Friday!

Heat wave coming to the UK next week….. what do we think about flip flops at work and exposure of some colleague’s bad feet (both male and female!!)? Acceptable or best left in shoes!? Friday thoughts?

Father's day this Sunday in the UK - celebrating and remembering the dads in our lives. This event happens all over the globe from Russia in February through to Nordic countries in November! In Germany, it's called Vatertag or Mannertag (or men's day). In China, it is celebrated on the 8th August because eight in Chinese is 'ba' and a colloquial to say father is 'ba-ba' - so eighth day of the eighth month sounds like father. Enjoy being with your dads, young or old this weekend. Have a good one.
