About Alpine Garden Society

The Alpine Garden Society is one of the world's largest plant societies & an environmental conservation charity dedicated to the conservation of alpine plants. Become a member for Β£36 /year!

Alpine Garden Society Description

The AGS is an international organisation that has thousands of paying members spread across the globe. We're devoted to sharing knowledge of how to cultivate alpine plants and protect their natural habitats for years to come.

Our events and activities are all designed to achieve these goals. We host impressive flower shows throughout the UK and Ireland every year, produce a respected quarterly journal called 'The Alpine Gardener, ' host guided tours to see alpine plants in their natural environments and publish a variety of specialist books through our own press, AGS Publications.

Our alpine plant conservation work sees us teaming up with the likes of RSPB Haweswater and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh as we seek to preserve alpine plant habitats.

We're also helping to raise the next generation of alpine enthusiasts. We fund student placements at some of the best horticultural establishments in the country and on our specialist tours.

Want to support the great work of our Society? Find out more about becoming a member here: https://www. alpinegardensociety.net/join-us /
