We held a large board gaming event here on 29th July 2017. Debs, the manager, was a pleasure to deal with and made every effort to accommodate our wishes.

Feedback of the visitor centre on the day was very positive with some tasty food and drink available.

The lake is stunning; we have visited many times because it's so picturesque and well maintained.

Thank you Arrow Valley!

Love it here... All season place to walk due to Tarmac path , lots of wildlife , lovely park for the children and the excersize machines for adults are good too . The cafe provides snacks /sandwiches and drinks . I believe you can hire small boats out during the summer months too .

All in all a nice place to have a walk and let the children play... Though hold on to younger children around the lake as there are a few places they could topple in if not supervised .

User

I like it there, its got a good play area for the children and we're lucky in that we don't live very far from it. Our children love it there and we enjoy the fireworks there every November. Cafe is very expensive though, and the toilets not always as clean as they should be so we tend to give that a miss most of the time

User

Had an amazing day at Arrow Valley Lake today doing kayaking and archery at a birthday party. Deb was great with us all. Will definitely be returning soon and recommending to friends. All activities are extremely reasonably priced and are fun for all the family. Thank you for an amazing experience

Had a beautiful walk with my dog st Arrow Valley Country Park yesterday. The weather was great and the park was bustling with people and dogs. The park was very clean and pathways cleared so walking along the lakeside was a pleasure. Last tiMe I went there was in winter so it was lovely to now walk in the sunshine- will definitely be back in next couple of weeks and in summer.

User

Great place to walk and the kids love feeding the ducks and the park the cafe is a bit expensive but if you take your own food

User

Great place for a walk or bike ride with the kids, give the cafe a miss though, overpriced and staff moody and very unhelpful

User

Fantastic park! Great for all ages, parks, bike trails, sailing and other lake activities and wonderful for dog walks! Lots of space and parking - one of our faves

User

5 stars for the lake

1 star for the cafe

A lovely quiet place to relax in Redditch, it's a short walk of 1.5 miles to do the whole lake. You can of course take different longer routes.

The only thing that lets it down is the cafe, it is not dog friendly. There are places to tie your dog to outside whilst you go in, but who leaves there dog tied to a stake in this day & age.

This cafe would be a gold mine if they looked at the hours it is open & made it pet friendly.

User

The lake itself is great. It has a lovely area to walk about. Nice grassy surrounds to make a picnic area or to play. The children's park is a good size with plenty for little kids to do. Arrow valley lake holds several functions over the yr the last one being the colour run and also an annual fire works display. The cafe and toilet facility there let's the place down ...staff are half hearted and for the prices you pay for food and beverages here the cafe is basic and uninspiring with also a half hearted attempt at being cleaned.

Ideas to improve the park a complete re vamp on the cafe and toilet area then add more flower beds maybe statues and pretty things like wooden sculptures you also need to think about older children there is very little for them to do generally. Other parks in the Midlands have things such as trampolines, sand pits, larger swings, skate parks and water features. On the whole what you have here is good as it is but in comparison it's got room for improvement.

User

The lake is lovely but the amount of dogs off leads drives me mad they really do need to put massive signs up telling them the amount of times dogs have cum bounding over when we're with our grandchildren and when we've said something the abuse it's commonsense that where there's children they should b on lead. The cafe is way overpriced don't they realize by lowering prices they'd sell more smartie ice creams over 2 pound can buy box for that. We sat on balcony with grandson he had 95p ice lolly tables were dirty balcony grubby and as for toilets disgusting whose in charge of cleaning them council or cafe ? There not cleaned everyday if they are vkeaner needs sacking I've been to cleaner toilets at football grounds the grounds have gone to pot as well we used to love having picnics there all a bit tatty. Shame cus lake is lovely only trouble not enough toilet facilities. Rant over lol

User

It is a lovely park so was having a nice time until a dog ran over to where we were feeding the ducks and killed a baby duck then ran around the park with it in his mouth leaving my granddaughter in tears. This is why owners should be enforced to keep their dogs on a lead when around the area of the ducks and the play park. The cafe is on the expensive side at but a nice view when sat outside

User

The park itself is lovely the visitor centre however is awful the staff have no personality or customer service at all and the layout is poor

User

Lovely spot to walk with dogs, nice lake not many facilities, worth a visit in the summer.

User

Love this place and visit frequently, but was really disappointed with the cafe today. My almost 1yo daughter bumped her head really hard and had an instant bump come up, so my partner went to ask if they had any ice..to be told they had none and he should buy a cold drink to use. No first aid box and no offer of help. Very disappointed. He asked another women for a cold wet cloth atleast. The politest boy was a young lad who stopped hoovering every time someone walked past bless him.

User

I'd give the park 5* but the cafe 1* so I've averaged out my rating. Park is lovely; everything you need for the whole family. Only gripe was we couldn't get in the car park as we have a roofbox on with medical equipment in for our daughter, who is disabled and there was a height barrier. We had to ask to park at the leisure centre next door and walk around. The cafe...we ordered jacket potatoes and they were awful. Mine had sprout marks in from where they'd been removed and it had been nuked in the microwave which hadn't quite cooked it in the middle - I thought it was near impossible to get a potato wrong but they managed it! Also, only a tiny amount of filling so couldn't even fill up on that. Then to finish it off some soggy slimy salad leaves. Yuk. Park was lovely though x

User

I like walking around the park or cycling especially now i have a baby son nice lovely day out with ice cream as well but there is one thing that needs to change and needs to be NEW the toilets and baby changing! I wont take my son there, i dont like using them! There old pipes are leaking need modernising needs stripping out and NEW TOILETS PIPES but the park and walking around it is lovely and feeding the ducks!! Just the toilets as i say.

User

Great place for the kids to go mad.... cafe food is poor and expensive... this could be a goldmine with better food/choices and more staff serving. Who would pay £1.25 for half a ham sandwich thats not even good quality? Staff on the day were doing the best that they could with amount of people, so credit to them.

User

I went into the cafe at the lake for the first time yesterday and I couldn't believe the staff! Upon waking up to the counter the young girl said 'what do you want' rather abruptly. After order my tea the other bloke behind her slammed my mug down and turned away..not even politely pointing to where the milk was or anything? I sat down outside to be greeted by tables over flowing with half empty mugs, tissues ect. So I went back up to the counter approached the third member of staff slouching in a chair on his mobile and politely asked him to clear up my table. He threw his phone down, sighed, and lazily approached the table doing a half arsed clean. What the hell is wrong with these kids? I think i be enjoying the out doors of the lake and bringing a thermos next time..

Side note: The ice cream girl outside was polite, the mint choc chip is a defo
