Where to start!! First seen The Ash Cooper Band play January 19th at The Spode Cottage with some friends that had recommended them and needless to say I was hooked. The venue is just the right setting for these guys due it being based all around the 'country' theme which adds to the excitement and experience.

Too many people still have this cliche image when they hear 'Country Music' and think back to old school (which I still don't have a problem with) but understand that it's not everyones cup of tea. All I can say is this band bring so much fun and energy to their performance with the new and upcoming Country/Rock sound they could convert anyones way of thinking.

They cover Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Chris Young, Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Kip Moore, Eric Church, Luke Bryan and my personal favourite that they do oh so well and had me up on my chair dancing, Kid Rock All Summer Long. Even though these are covers The Ash Cooper Band manage to add their own special kick ass vibe and makes the night what it is. They have even introduced a touch of Nashville with the hollerandswaller drinking game that everyone joins in with and enjoys.

Since that first night I have now been to see them on many occasion and introduced my best friend to them and now she's hooked too. Every night is as good as the first, can it get any better..... Well the answer is yes, they do their own original songs too which I hope they start doing more of. Hoping anyone that reads this gets the chance to come and experience them for themselves, I promise you wont be disappointed.

Love you guys you're awesome xx

What's to say. Their style of playing country will get you talking. I have just seen them play at West Leeds Sports and Social Club where there smashed it. Ash cooper has a fantastic voice and Is backed up by a supreme lead guitarist and a bass player who is so laid back he is almost horizontal and also a drummer supreme. If you only get to see one country band this year try and make it The Ash Cooper Band.

User

These guys happened to be performing at The Old School BBQ Bus tonight whilst I was having a meal with my family, after hearing these guys I’d definitely pay to see them in the future great vocals and a very friendly funny personality from both members that happened to be there tonight!

There are bands you see, and there are bands that you experience. Ash Cooper Band is the latter.

Having known their drummer Pete since we were teenagers, and him being the best drummer/percussion player I have ever met, when he told me he was in a band and they'd happily play at our pub, I nearly took his hand off.

I'm so glad I did, Ash and the guys came along with their good friend Ade Marx (Born Jovi) and took over the pub during our first beer festival, engaging our customers in music they didn't know, but quickly loved. They are an infectious bunch, massively talented, and keen to be with the audience, rather than have the barrier between artist and audience that quickly kills off a gig.

I can't rate them highly enough, and everyone is really looking forward to having them back here for the Christmas Party this December and often afterwards.

Simply breathtaking guys. See you all soon.

Saturday night saw us visiting The Spode Cottage in Rugeley for the latest gig of The Ash Cooper Band; a Country Rock band who certainly give the crowd an evening to remember!

Playing to some regular fans and some new, the marathon set list comprised of well known modern covers with some excellent original material.

The Ash Cooper band is a 4 piece band and each member is fabulously talented and brings something special to the forefront. It is obvious from their banter on and off stage that they have a great friendship too.

Peter Bailey the bands drummer has a great talent and a humour that is noticed throughout the set, from banter with the others to his comedic ‘Whoo Hoo’s’ during the cover of Kenny Chesney’s ‘Summertime’!

Alex Leventhal, lead giturist (and at times Harmonica player!), is very entertaining. His guitar player is superb and he jumps on tables and has hidden dance skills!

Neil Martin, bassist, is a great talent and has some great banter with crowd and the band. He is very focused on the music and has a comedic edge. I think Neil and Peter probably cause some mischief on the road!

And of course, Ash Cooper, lead singer with fabulous vocals. Ash has a great way of interacting with the crowd and is again a great musician.

Opening up the evening with ‘Remind Me’, a cover of the Number 1 hit for Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood, lead singer Ash welcomed his young niece to the stage for the duet which had everyone’s attention immediately.

Moving on and setting the pace for an evening that would turn out to be fun, fast and energetic, the band continued with much loved covers by Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan.

The band also played their own material and their song ‘Lost’ showcased just how brilliant their song writing is. Ash’s voice could be compared to Keith Urban; with rocky, husky undertones and a country twang twist and if I wasn’t in the room watching I could easily have been mistaken!

The band have their own fun, unique way of getting the crowd involved and is becoming quickly associated with them. Their #hollerandswaller is a light-hearted, interactive way of getting steadily tipsy! After every few songs, the crowd are encouraged (along with the band!) to hold their drinks in the air, give a hearty YeeHaw! and drink! Fun to see and even more fun to do!

The bands #hollerandswaller can be seen throughout their social media posts on Facebook and their website too and is quickly becoming a trend with the fans, expecting this at every show!

Another original song by the band called ‘Where You Left Me’ was one of the highlights of the night. This song has been picked up by an online radio station and the band performed this at the recent Forte San Antone festival. This was a much slower song and showed the talents of Ash’s vocals. The lyrics were well written, very heartfelt and is easily one of the best songs that I have heard in a long time.

Breaking into ‘Summertime’ by Kenny Chesney, and ‘Aw Naw’ by Chris Young, the band showed no sign of slowing down, they continued to entertain with their music but also with their fun banter, comedy and jumping and playing on tables!!

The overall highlight of the night for me was when the band performed a cover of ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck’ by Kip Moore, but with a twist!

The song started off in Country Rock as expected but then the crowd were encouraged to shout different musical styles out and the band would adapt it and mix it up.

This proved to be a hit and very entertaining; from Jazz and Flamenco to Reggae and Gun ‘n’ Roses stylee, this was entertainment at its best!

3 and a half hours later after a marathon set of at least 45 songs, the final hits of the evening were fast, furious and FUN! With songs such as Florida Georgia Line ‘Cruise’ and Kid Rock ‘All Summer Long’, the crowd were on their feet dancing, singing and having the best night out.

For someone who had never seen The Ash Cooper Band before I am now asking myself why. They are all fantastic musicians and with obvious song writing talent. They are all genuinely lovely people and above all love what they are doing. They have a passion for the music and a passion for their industry and they are damn good at it.

I’ll drink to that! #hollerandswaller

Really enjoyed your show at Fort San Antone at the weekend. Looking forward to catching you again sometime! You rock!!

User

Personally I have never been a country music fan but these are the only guys I'll ever go and see. They are a great laugh, enjoy their drink and play great. Since my sister (CEI Events) got involved working with them I've found a new appreciation for the genre and will definitely be going to see them at their next local gig and you should too!

User

Loved these guys at the fort .... Friendly fun and can't wait for the after show parties at fsa fest #hollerandswaller

Love the band, love the music. Never really listened to country or country rock before, but after listening to The Ash Cooper Band, I now love it. :-) Keep up the good work guys, you sound great :-) xx

User

I have been following the band for a couple of years. I never get bored with them and they always give 110% in their performances. High energy and charismatic best describe the boys.

Musicianship is first class and Ash's vocal range is amazing. They pick the best songs from a country artist to cover and as Ash is an accomplished songwriter himself they play about 8 of their original songs at each gig. 40 songs in 3 hours that's real value for money. You will never be bored at an Ash Cooper Band gig. They are so much fun. The guys are all very friendly and aproachable and really appreciate the support. We are now firm friends and as long as they are playing I will be supporting them.

Had the pleasure of seeing The Ash Cooper Band at The Spode in Armitage, Staffordshire. A Great friendly venue that really does put on great music and some great food. That aside initially we were at The Spode for The Ash Cooper Band. This is a modern country band that primarily perform covers with the odd, very strong, original song thrown in for good measure. The choice of covers is very current and the aim, seemingly is to ensure that the audience has a good time, we, and the rest of the audience, certainly did when we saw them live. The band choose their set from the likes of Brad Paisley, Randy Houser, Brantley Gilbert, etc. Picked from the Billboard Country Charts and delivered by a full live band, you could not ask for more.

I definitely recommend seeing them if you can and have a liking for modern country music. A good time is guaranteed.
