We visited yesterday with my 2 grandsons (nearly 2 and nearly 3 years old) Think it's fair to say we all had a fantastic experience from their feed buckets (greedy goats ate it all!) holding chicks, fetching an egg, bottle feeding the lambs to the bumpy tractor ride not to mention all your brilliant different play areas and sitting on a pony too. Great time had by all thank you very much. We'll definitely come back

We have had a lovely day at Ash End Farm today! We have been a few times now and always enjoy our visit. Today was an important day for my son Oliver as he gave up his dummy to the little piggies. I would love to thank the lady who sat and talked to him and also gave him his certificate (sorry unsure of her name but will post a picture). She lead the duck and lamb feeding, then we also held the chicks and picked an egg with her. She was fab with the kids and us adults loved it too! Thank you for making a dreaded day of giving up the dummy so enjoyable!! x

We came today as a family for my nieces 3rd birthday. We all agreed it was a lovely day. I've always loved the play barn but I hadn't been to the farm in years. All staff were cheerful, welcoming and helpful. We hadn't come as a party for my nieces birthday but they still sang happy birthday to her and the new chick which was born today, I thought that was really nice. I do feel I need to mention the creepy critters talk. The lad that was working today was fantastic. Very enthusiastic at involving all of the audience both adults and children making sure no one missed out, whilst also giving us the information in a fun engaging manner. It was probably the highlight of our visit as during the talk my son and niece and nephew held a boa snake, turtle, bearded dragon, bull frog and reluctantly stroked a tarantula :-) no one was missed out and it was a really enjoyable experience which wasn't rushed either. I would like to thank him for making our day. Will definitely be returning after such a lovely experience.

Visited on a Saturday in May, and considering the time of year it was busy but not *crowded* and we didn’t feel at any time as if we were jostling for space. We were a party of four adults and a two year old, and though not cheap in a party of five, we made a full day of it.

The staff were mostly calm, welcoming and patient with the children visiting. One staff member in particular made this an amazing experience. At the ‘meet a chick’ experience she saw my little boy get a little upset as he had been so looking forwards to seeing the baby chicks, and when it happened it was very busy and all happened so fast that as the chicks moved on he started to cry. She got down to his level, spoke clearly and kindly, asked him what the matter was and said she’d bring some other chicks over so he could strike them again, and after that popped an older chick on his knee. He was immediately happy and you could see he realised that the staff member was kind and cared. This act of kindness and gentle patience really made the entire experience for us, and was the absolute highlight of our day.

Visited on Saturday using ‘school visit tickets’ and was not disappointed! The Staff were excellent. The lady leading the chick talk made the day so special for my little girl Isobel who’s birthday was the following day; everyone sang for her.

The lovely young man who completed the barn owl holding session (and convinced my nervous son Bradley to hold the owl), the reptile experience and even gave us two snake skins to take to school as ‘proof’ because the battery on my camera had given up!

Everyone went above and beyond to give us the best experience- Thank you! We will definitely be back soon (and hoping to arrange an Autumn school visit too!)

Took my 2 year old twins here for the first time and loved it. Would reccommend this place to anyone. Went with my mom and dad who is in a wheelchair and was ideal for him to get around. The twins loved all the animals and was such an experience for them to feed them hold the chicks sit on the ponies etc.

Will defo be back for another visit xxx

Really lovely place. Well signposted & east to find. Perfect for children aged 3-6 years but also have taken older children who have enjoyed it & easy to get round with pushchairs. Suitable for all weathers as farm has big barns so rain won’t stop you. Nice eating area for picnics. Lovely coffee shop/café if you want to eat but don’t want to take a picnic.

Play barn is good with indoor & outdoor activities & food & drink served onsite. Will definitely return

User

I went to Ash End Farm yesterday and really enjoyed it and made the activities so I could take part. My favourite parts were holding the Rainbow Snake, they brought Star the pony out to me so I could stroke and brush him and having the baby chicken on my knee. The egg what I had from the activity I had this morning for my breakfast which was very yummy! Thank you very much I will be coming again.

I was lucky enough to win a family day out at the farm and play barn that also included lunch, ice creams and a gift voucher for both my children. We all had a lovely day fed the animals, groomed and sat on a pony, held a baby chick and chose an egg to take home, rode the bumpy tractor and counted scarecrows, played with the diggers and milked a cow. We then made it to the play barn where we were handed our lunch hamper full of a lovely picnic lunch my children enjoyed the play barn and the bouncy pillow and we all enjoyed an ice cream. The day was finished off in the gift shop where my children spent their gift voucher and a few extra pennies. One last go on the park on the way out and our day was complete. We had a lovely day all staff were happy and helpful and as we all know how expensive the summer holidays can be winning this day out was fantastic. Many thanks for such a lovely day.

Haven't been here for a few years and was so impressed with the improvements it was brilliant before now its even better! So much to do there! We bottle fed sheep. Held baby chicks. Sat on horses. Went on a tractor ride. There was even an option to hold the reptiles to which we declined but it's a fantastic option considering it is all included in the small entry fee. The kids loved it! They also have two huge inflatable trampolines and water zorbing and an inflatable assult course aswell as the big indoor play barn and two restaraunts. What a great affordable family day out!

User

Had a great day out at Ash End Farm today, despite the rain! We’ve been a couple of times before so the highlight was the new Reptile House and meeting a snake, bearded dragon and cockroach up close. Thanks to Matt for taking the time to talk to us and teach us about the different critters - he clearly loves what he does and that showed through in the time he took with us.

User

Fantastic day out, restaurant food lovely and fresh, the animals are absolutely gorgeous, great to be able to get up close and touch the animals. The talks are fun and informative. Absolutely fantastic for little ones and adults. This place is disable friendly and fully accessible, I cannot comment on disable toilets as I didn’t need them. Lots to do and see. The staff are kind and helpful, they really seem to enjoy their jobs. 10/10 👍

User

Brilliant day again, grandson Freddie enjoyed all the activities we spent five lovely hours with the animals and the playbarn. All staff informative, helpful and friendly. Catering good value and nice food. Special mention today for Matt in the reptile house who introduced Freddie to a variety of reptiles up close and personal in a very informative and professional manner the reptile house must not be missed.

User

Absolutely wonderful farm with a variety of activities to engage the children. Plenty of room for the animals and knowledgeable staff too. We also loved the play barn. I initially thought it was expensive but we had a jam packed seven hours so well worth the money.

User

Visited for the first time and was surprised how big and organised it was. Staff were very friendly. My daughters of 7 and 9 years old enjoyed every moment of it. They love the Unicorns, stroking the chicks, bottle feed the lambs etc...

It would be better if more food options were available and probably a bigger place as restaurant.

I absolutely love this place we've been loads of times and kids love it however went today as the kiddies wanted to see the new reptile bit. What a disappointment, when we went in there there was only one worker in there (which was fine) and only one other fully grown man. My 2 boys aged 7 & 8 had a look a round and then stood waiting to see the snake the worker had out but he was talking to this man. They waited quietly and patiently a little over 10 minutes and was completely ignored I mean how rude?? So we just came out of there and headed to the tractor. Also food today was awful, panini well that was just a mess on the plate, the chips looked like yesterdays and the jacket potato a rock. maybe just a bad day but next time we'll take a picnic. Gutted. X everything else there was fab as usually just put a right downer on today as its what we went for.

I’ve always loved this place. We went for my sons 3rd Birthday today 09/07/2018. The lady in the shop nearly broke my fiancé’s bank card by shoving it in the card machine several times as it wouldn’t work, my fiancé eventually took the card off her and gently inserted it in to the card machine and it worked.

The lady in the cafe also wasn’t very friendly when we ordered food and drink. We only got half a cup of tea so my fiancé asked her if she could fill it up which she did but there was no apology.

Overall the farm was lovely, the animals were well cared for and although the staff were busy with the school groups that were there on the day everything seemed to be running smoothly. It was a very hot day so the majority of the animals were resting in the shade so we decided to check out the new reptile house.

The chap in there, Matt, was brilliant and because it was my sons birthday (3) he asked him if he wanted to choose an animal to hold. We handled a royal python, bearded dragon, boa constrictor, a big snail and also saw a scorpion with her babies in her back. Matt also got the black and white Tegu out and my fiancé was asked if he wanted to feed him. The Tegu wasn’t hungry but we had a great experience. Lyndsey who was also in the reptile house was also full of knowledge and spent lots of time talking to us. We must have spent a good hour in there talking to them both. Please pass on our thanks to them, it was just a shame about the other staff that served us when we first arrived that spoilt it a bit.
