I had the pleasure of being video'd for the Governments 2012 Autism Strategy conference in London, my video was a huge success at the conference, and being given such an opportunity by Autism West Midlands gave me a valuable insight of just how supportive they are as a charity. The help they give is AMAZING. Thank You for such a wonderful opportunity

Castle Bromwich Junior School raised an amazing £300.55 towards Autism by having a cake sale amongst the children and staff at the school. This was on Friday 2nd may. All cash will be going to Autism West Midlands.

User

Brilliant a1, the team that work within the group, do go the extra mile.

Keep up the good work.

Having a daughter with autism, I feel there could be more help or support groups locally for girls/women with autism.

My eldest son is climbing 3mountains at the end of may money being raised is going to autism..he has a page on just giving :)

I wish my comment was positive, unfortunately it isn't. My lovely Son has been let down by School who refused to statement him. Now three years later, he never leaves the house. He is schooled at home by the Local Education Team for 2 hours per week. The establishment stinks because he could have had a life. Autism West Midlands did nothing to support him or his mum. Pat yourselves on your back all you like. As for birthdays, you enjoy your cake. We stopped celebrating a long time ago.

Recently diagnosed with mild autism and ADHD and still treated badly by my own community and the mainstream community and also had group meeting with other people who have single me out. It need to stop and people need to be mindful now. Enough is enough discrimination.

They bully some service users and push out others completely. So completely ableist and unfit for purpose. :)

User

If I was able to leave 0 stars I would. Aspire/Autism West Midlands is useless. I was on the work choice program. I was promised they'd help find me a job in 6 months. They couldn't care less about my needs and what I wanted. All they tried to do was force me into the first opportunity that came along just so they can meet their targets.

When I finally had enough and said I didn't want to continue the program they was all like 'Oh you don't have to attend it's not compulsory' They didn't care no one even bothered trying to convince me to stay.

Anyone thinking of going to this company for anything I'd advise you not to bother.
