Caker problem 167: arriving at a wedding venue dressed for winter because you’ve drove for an hour with the air con on 😂 ❄️

Today has been spent making 80 individual cupcakes for a very special wedding tomorrow ⛪️ it’s always an honour to be part of a couples special day but even more so when you get to watch them get married 💍
This means I am closed tomorrow & Friday (for the expected hangover!). As I can’t show you today’s cupcakes, here’s a photo of the beautiful bouquet of flowers Mr Bakes in Bloom bought me last week 😍

☀️ Important Notice ☀️
Good news for everyone - this beautiful weather isn’t stopping for a while.
Unfortunately this is news I didn’t want to hear (as if piping realistic buttercream flowers wasn’t hard enough!)
... For anyone collecting from us here are some important points to follow (and actually should be followed no matter what the weather!)
☀️ Keep cakes in a cool, dry place. NEVER place them in direct sunlight inside or outside - trust me, melted buttercream flowers aren’t pretty!!
🌸 Make your journeys as short as possible (don’t go shopping & leave them in the boot of your car 🤦🏼‍♀️ you’ll return to a pool of buttercream)
☀️ Keep your car cool while travelling. We all know how cars can get hot very quickly, make sure you have your air con on (who doesn’t already?!)
🌸 Keep flat at all times. Like flowers, these are fragile.
☀️ Do not refrigerate. The buttercream will thank you but the sponge will dry out & sweat at the sudden change of temperature.

Thankyou Amy for a fabulous 'bouquet' of cupcakes for my friends birthday.....she LOVED them!! They are so beautiful, she thought they were flowers at first, but even happier when she realised they were cakes and said how delicious they were.

I ordered 2 small cupcake bouquets. They were absolutely beautiful - definitely had the wow factor...! The cakes were a good size and tasted just as good as they looked. Nobody would believe they were hand decorated cakes because they looked SO perfect.. Stunning..! I'll definitely be back.. Thanks Amy xx

Great friendly service. Cupcakes were beautifully done and travelled all the way to Norfolk in heat, still looking great the other end. My mom was very pleased with them. Thankyou :)

Cannot recommend Bakes in Bloom enough! Amy made us 70 gorgeous cupcakes for our wedding cake last week and they looked and tasted amazing. She even learnt a new technique to pipe flowers which matched my bouquet. Everyone loved them and my hubbie is under strict instructions to order a cupcake bouquet for each anniversary!
