Congratulations Chelsea-Mae and Jake! Feeling pretty old having made this for two people I remember when they were in primary school 😂

I've had a huge break from cake making since I went back to work full time, but my twins are 9 this week. They always help with their cakes, so these have special finishing touches! Getting ahead of the game with light fury cupcakes as well as night furys!

I've been putting this off, because it kind of feels like an ending, even though it's really a beginning...
After several very successful, stressful, challenging and rewarding years, the time has come for me to stop taking orders. I have returned to working with young children full time and with three of my own at home too, I just don't have enough hours in the day, (or energy for that matter!) to keep up with all the messages and emails, phone calls, research, baking and de...corating. I'll keep this page here to showcase cakes that I make for family and friends, but as of now, Ballderdash & Bunting is closed for business.

Could mermaids be the new unicorns?!

Any form of transport on a cake fills me with dread, but I actually loved making this little train!

Yes, it's a pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows. Do not, I repeat, do NOT Google the song this is based on unless you want to hear it on repeat in your head for the next week 😂😂😂

I'm so annoyed that I didn't get decent photos and a video of this cake! My godson asked me for 'orange and lemon' on his cake- luckily his mum said dinosaurs, so I just used his requested colour scheme a bit 😂 He shared his party with a friend, so they had a half and half cake :) This is the two different sides of the same cake, one for Oz and one for Olivia (princess supplied).

I've had some lovely time off over the summer but I'm back in a big way over the next few weeks! First up, pretty, personalised wedding favour biscuits :)

This bag of sweets cake contained over £8 worth of pick n mix sweets- lots more than you can see, the rest were hiding inside! Tag someone who would have no trouble polishing this lot off!

It was a beautiful day for a garden party today! Luckily this buttercream cake had a nice cool, shady spot in the barn 😎

Based on the party invitation, this cake was half vanilla sponge with jam and half chocolate and was on a board measuring 20" square!

A 30th birthday cake for a podiatrist!

We had an amazing 3 tier giant French fancy wedding cake made for us which was absolutely stunning! Becky made the whole process so wonderfully easy for us and did a fantastic job. We are so grateful to you for taking the time to help make our day so special.

Huge thanks to Becky for all her hard work making our super huge cake really stand out as one of a kind! Despite the small set back the night before, Becky made sure everyone was catered for and it really tasted delicious. I'd highly recommend Ballderdash and Bunting to anyone :-)

Becky made our awesome 'cassette' cake for our 30th birthday party earlier this month. We gave her a picture of our invite and from that she created our amazing cake, which not only looked amazing but tasted amazing too! I would highly recommend Ballderdash & Bunting to anyone wanting a bespoke & original cake x

Becky helped design and then make our wedding cake. She was brilliant and the cakes she made us were just what we imagined. Not only did our guests think they looked great, but everyone was commenting on how good the cake tasted- especially the fruit cake!! Thank you- Will be recommending you to anyone I know who needs a cake.

Becky has made my daughters 1st birthday and christening cake both looked and tasted amazing. Will definitely come back to her every time x
