Why do Pilates, Yogis? It's simple. Strengthen that core and watch yourself glide into Yoga Goddess mode....or at the very least least sort that dodgy knee/back/hip/shoulder. Mary is the sweetest-killer Pilates teacher you'll ever meet ❤️💪. Let's join her...

Yoga for the first time as an overweight 49 year old. Such a friendly inclusive place. Have had sessions with lots of different teachers. All of them fabulous. Can't praise this place and these people enough. I do regular exercise elsewhere but yoga is really helping me to get fit as well as more flexible and relaxed. Lost 10kg since May without stressing about it! Yay!

User

Wonderful place to unwind whether you are a novice or expert at Yoga- these classes are for you. Candlelit Yoga was lovely but challenging and I can feel muscles today that I have not been aware of in years! All the staff are friendly, encouraging professionals who aim to get the most out of you whilst helping you recognise your own limits. I will definitely be back. Great range of classes for those with different working patterns.

User

Very impressed with my first visit and website visit so much that I have signed up to the new members offer and very much looking forward to trying to more classes at Barefoot.

My first impressions of the website was good as it looks professional, easy to navigate and easy to book into the session.

I contacted via Facebook after I booked my first session and had a reply back pretty much straight away answering my questions.

As anyone your always nervous when walking in to any where new but I was made completely welcome and the girls showed me around and put me at ease.

If anyone is looking for a yoga place this is the place.

My first class was core strength with I believe Jane on Thursday.Totally warmed to her as she didn't take herself too seriously, was funny, professional and guided me through where needed. The room was the perfect temperature. Attended the candle lit session today with a different teacher. Didn't 'feel it' from her and the room was a little cold but I appreciate we are all different. Tomorrow my first class with Jon for beginners. Looking forward to it and hopefully the room will be a little warmer

User

Love the classes I've attended at Barefoot and the instructors are very knowledgeable. As soon as you walk into Barefoot the atmosphere is so calming and receptionists helpful. I highly recommend Barefoot

User

Love it I couldn't recommend a better place to go in Birmingham after trying few. Atmosphere is lovely, instructors professional and very dedicated as well as friendly and approachable. Must try

It's now been a year since I've first joined Barefoot Birmingham and I can honestly say that I feel 100 times better in my mind and body. I've noticed my body getting stronger, my thoughts growing kinder towards myself and others, and also my stress levels reduce dramatically.

You always feel warmly welcomed when you arrive. I'd recommend it to anyone and I already have to many, many people!

User

I've loved Barefoot, I was bought a gift voucher but due to recently moving from Birmingham im unable to use it ☹ Please pm me if you are looking to buy a voucher this Christmas (£100)

I've been visiting Barefoot's Harborne studio for over two years now and it is the perfect place to unwind and strengthen your yoga practice with skilled professional teachers. What I love most about Barefoot is their disciplined approach and classes that are inclusive for all levels. The teachers always suggest modifications to suit individual bodies, something which is so essential to grasp as a beginner, as yoga is all about how a posture works for your own body on a personal level. Well done and a big thank you to Faye and the wonderful team at Barefoot!

User

I've always wanted to get into

Yoga but it just never happened. Since having two children I needed to find time for me & I stumbled across barefoot & I'm very grateful I did. The friendly, supportive attitude of everyone I've encountered has always left me wanting to go back for more. I'm by no means an expert but I'm pretty much addicted now. It's a wonderful place that immediately takes you to a place of calm from the moment you step in

User

I'm in Birmingham on and off, but when I'm here, I'm at Barefoot 3 or 4 times a week – it's become a bit of a sanctuary. Friendly, varied, safe and simple; great staff and great teachers. Barefoot (and yoga in general) has helped usher me back towards regular activity, self-care and overall health. Always miss it/them when I'm not around!

User

I wish Barefoot had a flee powder fire place so I could beam myself there every day for a class.

Joined two years ago when I moved to Birmingham from Germany. Being back in Germany now I can really fully appreciate what a great oasis Barefoot is. I miss the classes, the peace and the people dearly :) :*

User

I went to my first ever Yoga class today held by the lovely Faye Fenton.

I am a carer for my son and I am fortunate to of being given some classes for free via the carers hub.

I really enjoyed myself today and found the class very relaxing and it was lovely to have 'me time'.

I look forward to my next lesson already.

User

I never regret a practise at Barefoot. I go to both Kings Heath and Harborne as I love the range of classes and instructors. Always feel on top of the world for the rest of the day after spending some time at Barefoot. If in doubt or new to yoga then don’t worry, as all the staff are so lovely and knowledgable.

Namaste, om shanti

User

I did my first ever Yoga Class yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure if I would but I rediscovered muscles I didn't know I had. I was quite sore at the end but walked out full of confidence. I'm trying pilates next!

User

I always thought of yoga as mumbo jumbo and exercise for the lazy but boy was I wrong. I joined to support a friend and whilst I would have rather stayed at home feeling sorry for myself due to my lack of sleep, increasing waistline, sense of just being overwhelmed by life in general (I could go on) I thought I may as well give it a 100%. So I went in and did exactly what the instructor asked. Fast forward a month and I am starting to let things slide that really don't matter, I have seen a change in the shape of my body and I have lost 8lbs. I have been going 3 times a week because I NEED peace and quiet and love the sense of calm which envelopes me upon leaving. I am that person who falls over 'cos my balance is awful, who can just about touch the floor (with my knees bent), who grunts instead of breathing properly (I try!) but I have been made to feel welcome and no one has laughed at me. Husband has noticed a positive difference in me and I can say that I feel more confident about myself than I did when I weight trained and ran to obession. Ok, yoga is more expensive per month than your general gym membership but absolutely worth every penny.

Great venue, lovely location. I would LOVE there to be early morning sessions so that I could squeeze in some ommmmms before work. Might make dealing with various individuals a much more pleasant experience.

User

Had an awesome practice this morning at Barefoot. I absolutely love the variety the teachers bring to yoga! Namaste. X

User

Had a break for over a year for actually having a break... stupid high heels and stupid ankle - but missed it so much back there now after Christmas and kharma has resumed, i cope with kids, work and life in general my waist is disappearing and three times a week the monthly price doesn't feel to bad.

User

I am a carer and was given 10 classes by the carers' hub. The yoga was gentle and relaxing but challenging enough to really stretch me out - in fact, i had to have a hot bath to ease the aches.

I found the room very pleasant and quiet and at a comfortable temperature with no distractions from outside and thus much more pleasant and relaxing than when I have done classes at gyms or in draughty community halls.
