Lovely place, staff are always friendly and the place always smells beautiful. I love the steak � always cooked to perfection and even better when you have 40% off.

The Cocktails are delicious � always look forward to a visit and catch up with friends

Just got back from there, there was 9 of us including 3 kids. We arrived way too early, as we got the time wrong, but we were warmly welcomed. By the time the rest of our group arrived the restaurant was actually very busy. The food we had was lovely, and the lady that served us was absolutely brilliant, her name was Andreea. Would 100% go back!!!

Had a meal with my husband and it was beautiful, the nicest garlic bread and lasagne we've had for a long time, yes we had a bit of a wait but it was extremely busy but the waitress was apologetic and very friendly. Will definitely be going again.

Big thanks to Josh for fabulous service tonight xx you got a little slammed just as we came in and there was a tiny delay on food but you dealt with it before we even noticed and the kids loved the time you spent making a fuss of them even though you were super busy. Thank you �

Amazing food. Meatballs were to die for. Icecream too cool flavours!! Service from Leanne was good. Not overpowering but still attentive. May become my new favourite olace to visit i think. �

We went for lunch on Sunday to celebrate my daughter's exam results and had a great time. The food was fantastic as always, the service impeccable and the draught Moretti beer superb!

We were a table of nine, with an array of different requirements from child meals to vegan diets, but our waitress coped flawlessly and for the first time I have experienced, remembered each person's meal without having to ask "Who ordered the xyz"...

Apart from the food being 5*, it's little touches like this that make you remember a place with fondness.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place - 10/10 every time!

We had time to order our meal as my son was at a pizza making party. (They have to design their pizza first, wear chefs hats and then they make their pizza, it is named, cooked and then eaten). Meanwhile, 2 starters ordered and plentiful they were, 2 mains also ordered and my husband ordered a meat dish in error (waitress was very lovely and with no trouble at all, the meal was whisked away and a fresh one came), however, the meals were served on cold plates and cooled quickly. We had a 50% off main course voucher which you can get by signing up to their email. I would say that for a spot of lunch with the girls, if you're passing, with a voucher, is recommended but for a romantic Italian it's no Michael Angelos.

So she brought a small dish with sauce in it, my friend found a hair in her last mouthful, thankfully it wasn't half way through, they refunded this, we carried on to have a sweet which was Tiramisu, well it was more like a cake absolutely nothing like an italian Tiramisu, so for this review that's why I'm only saying it was ok....

It wasn’t at all busy but we waited rather along time for service and when the waitress did come to take our drinks order we had to call her back to also take our food order as we had already waited over 3 minutes. Also when ordering we were told the meatball menus where not available which 2 of us wanted, so not a good start at all !

When our food finally came by the way our waitress was lovely and offered the parmesan and black pepper which we had one of our orders should have had sausage in it well only ONE PIECE could be found so we called the waitress and she took it back and bought another and said it would be taken off the bill. Also I had the lighter option which was a grilled chicken breast with lentil and mushroom ragu sauce however the chicken was quite dry and stringy but the sauce was delicious. Overall our experience at your Castlegate restaurant was not great and therefore room for improvement we all think.

Busy night as between Christmas and New Year however told has to wait 45 minutes for a table yet took 15 minutes. Ordered food and starters canes within 10 minutes. Then 40 minutes after finishing the mains came. I ordered a pizza which must have been cooked about 45 minutes earlier as it was stone cold. Other than that it was clean and waitress was good too. Very apologetic and got my pizza for free. Wouldn’t rush back though.

Walked in last night for a meal and was told it was fully booked there was loads of seats available then walked past around 2 hours later and still no one in there.



We found out later that evening from another restraint they they have no kitchen staff as they had a argument with the manager and walked out.



Walsall Bella is much more organised.

First and last time I will ever walk in to Bella Italia again..

Meet and greet was terrible, well when someone finally came to us, Sat us on a table right next to the front door which was left open and was freezing! Had to ask to move tables.

Then we had to wait ages for a drink, starters we over cooked and tasteless. The main course my wife had to take her food back as it was stone cold, my pizza was soggy in the middle, but by this time I really couldn't be bothered to say anything else. Very poor food.. very very poor actually.

The table next to us also had to send there food back due to it being over cooked and stone cold. Then have to wait half hour for a replacement.

Only ok thing was the new waitress that waited on us who was very polite and apologetic, but unfortunately it wasn't her fault,

Oh and if you have a Groupon offer don't expect the service other people receive around you get.

2* and I think I am being generous! It took us until 20 minutes past our booking time until we were shown to our table, service was extremely slow, food was not good and after initially being told it was over an hours wait for my sons pizza, we were then told they had stopped doing them. In total, 3 items of our order were not available.. bread, pizza and tiramisu.. not good for an Italian restaurant.

What a rubbish place terrible service waited close to hour and half with no food or explanation not even busy with 3 children �not be coming back again ��

So tonight we ate in your restaurant and I ordered the Framenti for dessert to find potatoe fries mixed in with it!!! We were then informed by the waitress that the dessert is fried in the chip fat!!! Absolutely disgusting I will never be eating in your restaurant again!!!

Not one to normally moan but my god, the food I have just been served was absolutely awful! There is only one way I can describe my meal... it smelt and tasted like a wet dirty dog! Inedible!! The thought of it keeps making me feel sick! I had everyone else on my table smell and taste it to make sure it wasn’t just me and they all agreed. My bro in laws “palenta mash” resembled jelly/scrambled eggs, my moms chips were hard and my sisters side sauce had no flavour what so ever. To be fair, we only complained about my meal which we didn’t have to pay for. All the rest was edible �

Waitress was very polite and the service was good. Will never return again simply because of the horrid food! �

By the time the rest of our group arrived the restaurant was actually very busy. The food we had was lovely, and the lady that served us was absolutely brilliant, her name was Andreea. Would 100% go back!!!

Had a meal with my husband and it was beautiful, the nicest garlic bread and lasagne we've had for a long time, yes we had a bit of a wait but it was extremely busy but the waitress was apologetic and very friendly. Will definitely be going again.

Big thanks to Josh for fabulous service tonight xx you got a little slammed just as we came in and there was a tiny delay on food but you dealt with it before we even noticed and the kids loved the time you spent making a fuss of them even though you were super busy. Thank you �

Amazing food. Meatballs were to die for. Icecream too cool flavours!! Service from Leanne was good. Not overpowering but still attentive. May become my new favourite olace to visit i think. �

Absolutely top notch!

We went for lunch on Sunday to celebrate my daughter's exam results and had a great time. The food was fantastic as always, the service impeccable and the draught Moretti beer superb!

We were a table of nine, with an array of different requirements from child meals to vegan diets, but our waitress coped flawlessly and for the first time I have experienced, remembered each person's meal without having to ask "Who ordered the xyz"...

Apart from the food being 5*, it's little touches like this that make you remember a place with fondness.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place - 10/10 every time!

We had time to order our meal as my son was at a pizza making party. (They have to design their pizza first, wear chefs hats and then they make their pizza, it is named, cooked and then eaten). Meanwhile, 2 starters ordered and plentiful they were, 2 mains also ordered and my husband ordered a meat dish in error (waitress was very lovely and with no trouble at all, the meal was whisked away and a fresh one came), however, the meals were served on cold plates and cooled quickly. We had a 50% off main course voucher which you can get by signing up to their email. I would say that for a spot of lunch with the girls, if you're passing, with a voucher, is recommended but for a romantic Italian it's no Michael Angelos.

First time visiting. Took the kids and used a kids eat free voucher. Very impressed from start to finish. Kids portions were huge and good value with refill drinks. and our meals were lovely. Starters came quickly and were nice and light. Gelato bar had a good choice.

Really enjoyed the visit and will definitely come again.

Wouldn't be in a hurry to go back! When we first arrived we stood waiting for someone to come to us, after a short while, I asked one of the waitresses if we just sat anywhere, she said no someone will be with you shortly, eventually another waitress came over & said yes can I help you! I really felt like saying can you direct me to the nearest pub!? What did she think we were standing there for!... we were then seated and given menus & asked if we wanted a drink, we ordered & when they brought me my drink it was more ice than drink, ordered our food, both had the same which was the New Risotto Pescatore, when the waitress put them on the table we both looked at them & considering they were meant to be the same dish, the one looked kind of normal where the other was clearly had less in & looked dry, upon showing the waitress, she said so do you want some more sauce in it! So she brought a small dish with sauce in it, my friend found a hair in her last mouthful, thankfully it wasn't half way through, they refunded this, we carried on to have a sweet which was Tiramisu, well it was more like a cake absolutely nothing like an italian Tiramisu, so for this review that's why I'm only saying it was ok....

Went here for my birthday last night. Food was good as always. Service not so good. They were very busy but still shouldn’t prevent the waitress from smiling at least! Very miserable, just plonked card machine down on the table at the end of our meal and disappeared for about 10 minutes. Wouldn’t rush back to this branch

Our experience last evening wasn’t much to rave about as we decided to eat here before our cinema showing so two of us went to book the cinema tickets while the other two got a table at Bella Italia. It wasn’t at all busy but we waited rather along time for service and when the waitress did come to take our drinks order we had to call her back to also take our food order as we had already waited over 3 minutes. Also when ordering we were told the meatball menus where not available which 2 of us wanted, so not a good start at all !

When our food finally came by the way our waitress was lovely and offered the parmesan and black pepper which we had one of our orders should have had sausage in it well only ONE PIECE could be found so we called the waitress and she took it back and bought another and said it would be taken off the bill. Also I had the lighter option which was a grilled chicken breast with lentil and mushroom ragu sauce however the chicken was quite dry and stringy but the sauce was delicious. Overall our experience at your Castlegate restaurant was not great and therefore room for improvement we all think.

Busy night as between Christmas and New Year however told has to wait 45 minutes for a table yet took 15 minutes. Ordered food and starters canes within 10 minutes. Then 40 minutes after finishing the mains came. I ordered a pizza which must have been cooked about 45 minutes earlier as it was stone cold. Other than that it was clean and waitress was good too. Very apologetic and got my pizza for free. Wouldn’t rush back though.

Walked in last night for a meal and was told it was fully booked there was loads of seats available then walked past around 2 hours later and still no one in there.



We found out later that evening from another restraint they they have no kitchen staff as they had a argument with the manager and walked out.



Walsall Bella is much more organised.

First and last time I will ever walk in to Bella Italia again..

Meet and greet was terrible, well when someone finally came to us, Sat us on a table right next to the front door which was left open and was freezing! Had to ask to move tables.

Then we had to wait ages for a drink, starters we over cooked and tasteless. The main course my wife had to take her food back as it was stone cold, my pizza was soggy in the middle, but by this time I really couldn't be bothered to say anything else. Very poor food.. very very poor actually.

The table next to us also had to send there food back due to it being over cooked and stone cold. Then have to wait half hour for a replacement.

Only ok thing was the new waitress that waited on us who was very polite and apologetic, but unfortunately it wasn't her fault,

Oh and if you have a Groupon offer don't expect the service other people receive around you get.

2* and I think I am being generous! It took us until 20 minutes past our booking time until we were shown to our table, service was extremely slow, food was not good and after initially being told it was over an hours wait for my sons pizza, we were then told they had stopped doing them. In total, 3 items of our order were not available.. bread, pizza and tiramisu.. not good for an Italian restaurant.

What a rubbish place terrible service waited close to hour and half with no food or explanation not even busy with 3 children �not be coming back again ��

So tonight we ate in your restaurant and I ordered the Framenti for dessert to find potatoe fries mixed in with it!!! We were then informed by the waitress that the dessert is fried in the chip fat!!! Absolutely disgusting I will never be eating in your restaurant again!!!

Not one to normally moan but my god, the food I have just been served was absolutely awful! There is only one way I can describe my meal... it smelt and tasted like a wet dirty dog! Inedible!! The thought of it keeps making me feel sick! I had everyone else on my table smell and taste it to make sure it wasn’t just me and they all agreed. My bro in laws “palenta mash” resembled jelly/scrambled eggs, my moms chips were hard and my sisters side sauce had no flavour what so ever. To be fair, we only complained about my meal which we didn’t have to pay for. All the rest was edible �

Waitress was very polite and the service was good. Will never return again simply because of the horrid food! �
