When setting your goals, you need to have a vision of where you’re going BUT you need to focus on the ACTIONS & HABITS that will get you there . Wanna lose fat? Own habits that fit that goal such as recording a food diary daily, exercising regularly, reducing intake of takeaways and junk food etc . Wanna build muscle? Focus on the habits of resistance training 3-5 days per week, increasing calorie intake, hitting a daily protein target etc... . Why do this? Because completing actions is is 100% in your control, whereas the outcome is never going to be a straight path to success . Own your actions, start consistent and the result will come!

Healthy eating should be tasty and exciting! The main reason people fail at eating healthily is because they fall into the trap of thinking it has to be bland/boring salads and soups . Truth is, if you add in variety and make it exciting then you’re more likely to stick to it . This may look complicated but was knocked up in just one pan in less than 15 minutes and it kicks the bum of any cereal bars or that slice of toast you chuck down first thing... . High in protein, full of nutrients and super tasty to boot . This is a homemade turkey burger seasoned with @cunningham_spice but you can easily make your own variations using veggie/vegan options too

My biggest advice when it comes to diet....
Add in healthy habits instead of taking food away, e.g 1. Eat a portion of veg for lunch and dinner ūü•¶ūüĆĹ 2. Add lean protein to your meals ūüźĒ 3. Drink at least 1liter of pure water a day ūüí¶

**How to stop relaying on Motivation and achieve whatever you want!**
In research its shown that people are more excited about a new diet or training routine before they start, than when they are actually doing it! ūü§¶‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ
We all love the idea of outcomes ( becoming leaner, stronger, fitter ūüí™) but when it actually comes down to the reality of the daily grind it makes the thought into a tough reality. ūüė®
... At the beginning we feel excited, pumped and ‚Äúon it!‚ÄĚ It feels easy! ūüôĆ So normally we take on more then we should because our ‚Äúmotivation‚ÄĚ is high.
But then what happens…
Our motivation begins to wain ūüėí and ‚Äúlife‚ÄĚ starts to get in the way of the goal we were so excited about only weeks before.
So what feels like the best thing to do? Get frustrated, tearful, angry, give up and end up doing things to set us further away from our original goal. ūü§∑‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ
We have a few weeks, months, years off, and then get excited about the new best thing when that motivation returns. And the cycle starts again ūüĒĄ
Im not going to lie, I found it difficult to understand as fitness has always been a passion of mine, but I finally feel I can relate. ūüôč
For the first time last year I experienced debilitating anxiety and had the most unwanted visiter - Depression. It came on thick and fast and not only did ‚Äúmotivation‚ÄĚ leave my body, happiness did too. ūüĎč
It was a scary time (Not to say I’m through it! I know I still have time to go)
Things I loved to do had no meaning anymore and sadness felt so powerful.
My motivation had gone.
This was my opportunity to give in to that lack of mojo and stop. ūüöę
But happiness had been apart of my life for 27 years, and just because it was gone, didn’t mean it wasn’t going to return.
I kept a routine as much as possible. My training did die down, but I made sure movement and nutrition stayed with me, walking when I didn’t make it to the gym, meditating everyday and eating the best I could.
And slowly but surely, that happiness is returning and my ‚Äúmotivation‚ÄĚ is back. ūüíÉ
And I promise you it will return!
We just sometimes have to stick to the plan, stick to the routine, make some sacrifices, carry on and remember why we started
Don’t relay on motivation, because it will come and go, relay on you.
Believe in yourself and your abilities
Stick to the plan and you will succeed
