About Birmingham Moseley Rugby

Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club

Birmingham Moseley Rugby Description

Moseley was founded in 1873 and celebrated its 125th anniversary in 1998. The team adopted its signature red and black colours in 1874.

Moseley played its home matches at The Reddings, in Birmingham, England, from 1880 through the end of the 1999-2000 season. With the start of the 2000-2001 season, Moseley moved to a temporary home at Bournbrook on the University of Birmingham campus. In 2005 the Club moved to its permanent home at Billesley Common.

Moseley is a member of National Division One, formerly the English Championship, proudly among the top clubs in England. It is owned by a consortium of members and supporters who successfully gained RFU approval to run the club in August 2002.

this is our local rugby team and they are doing fantastic this season. They are currently 2nd in the league with only 1 defeat.I am sure if more Birmingham people could get to support them they can only improve. It,s a great day out and more affordable than football and more exciting.

User

Our very 1st time there to watch Moseley rugby club. We were there with some of our children from Billesley primary school. Thank you for a Awesome afternoon, we all enjoyed the experience & we will be back. Well done Moseley on your WIN, we all shouted you all on. Thanks again for making us so welcome.

It's wonderful that folk enjoy our club. The club supporters, staff and management make my role so enjoyable. My staff love working at Billesley and all ask to become regular stewards here. Spears Worldwide are very proud to be working in partnership with Birmingham Moseley.

I'm a wasps season ticket holder but have now also found another team to follow. Had a great day yesterday and was made welcome by everyone I met. Looking forward to next home game. Might even buy a shirt I was that impressed.

User

I have been a lifelong Blues supporter and yet when I came to support Moseley I felt that I'd come home. I have had 10 years of pure pleasure watching them. It's like watching football years ago because you clap your opponents and chat to opposing supporters and yet I am very partisan when it comes to Moseley. It is a superb way to spend a Saturday afternoon and great fun.

User

Great place to go and watch a very good standard of rugby in a very good and friendly atmosphere too.

User

Great new stadium, friendly atmosphere, staff always helpful, and we all have a good time.

User

Great club....sad how far they have fallen since the halcyon days of the 70's...always get a traditional rugby club welcome there though and have made some good friends at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club...if only they'd had #CecilDuckworth's Millions they'd still be up there with The Tigers and The Saints!

User

Great club. Friendly atmosphere. And some really good rugby.....mostly. Come on Mose.

User

Good time but a bit expensive drink in the bar.

User

First time visit and great way to watch Rugby with lovely atmosphere. Give it a try (excuse the pun)

As a member of a small grass roots rugby club I visited Birmingham Moseley with a group of Gents the same as I !!

Without doubt the day turned out to be the best day I've ever had whilst watching or being involved with club rugby, that's 26years as player, coach or spectator (Internationals are a different category), we all decided to visit here because one of our own home grown talents after leaving our colts section had been picked by Moseley and we all wanted to support him and see his progression since coaching/managing him, some since Mini days.

We were approached nearly immediately by a old boy who turned out to be a life long member and a wealth of club history and information, and went out of his way after a short conversation to make us feel at home !!

Showing around both the old and new club rooms, the gym and up into the players/sponsors bar and then topping it by allowing us to watch the game from the fantastic vantage point of the new stand !!

He got us mentioned twice in the pre and post match speeches and we ended up not leaving until gone 8:00pm. We all felt like staying longer and for sure the hospitality would of been there too but with a 4.5hr drive home ahead we had to drag ourselves out !!

One last word is that this is so obviously a large rugby club with a large spirit and rugby of the highest standards at heart, but has never forgotten its beginnings or its values !!!

Thank you Birmingham Moseley we will be back !!
