What a lovely find today - had mushrooms in stilton in a little cottage loaf which was amazeballs!! Followed by a scone with jam and clotted cream... gorgeous setting, lovely terrace, chef was really friendly definitely worth a visit. I'll be back!!

Went in the other day to see Kelly and Milli the waitresses and grab some food.

Gotta say the place has an awesome feel to it! They've really kept the rustic feel I remember as a kid going to boys club.

Food was awesome, I had a Cheese, Chicken and BBQ Sauce toastie and it was delicious (highly recommend it) and coffee was spot on aswell. Will be going back regularly

This is now my second visit to this lovely tea room along the river Severn in an old building that was built in 1580, one of the few surviving buildings from the burning of bridgnorth in the Englsh civil war, the food and drinks are presented and served in lovely surroundings, the food was way beyond my expectations, presented in such a superb way, and tasted very nice, and finished if with a superb capochino. I for one will certainly look forward to visiting this lovely tea room again, 10 out of 10.

Really friendly and approachable staff offering a great service. Fantastic food and drinks in what can only be described as one of Bridgnorth’s most iconic buildings. What a place!

Nine of us from the local WI had lunch here yesterday. We all enjoyed the choice on the menu and found the food tasty (particularly the mushrooms in stilton in a small cottage loaf). The staff are so friendly and helpful and the chef charming. We also had a tour of the amazing apartments upstairs. Sympathetically restored with appropriate period furniture. We voted to return next month for lunch.

Then this morning my husband and I went for breakfast there. A real gem in Bridgnorth.

Lovely selection of home made cakes, breakfast foods in various combinations, hot and cold lunches...very impressed!! Such a beautiful iconic building too, well known around the area for both its history and architecture. Wishing you the very best for the future...May there be many cakes baked and pots of tea poured....See you again very soon.

From Jersey visiting family. Each had a lovely fish platter salad. Great value and delicious food!! Definitely recommend this eatery!! Will be back next year!

First visit yesterday, enjoyed lunch and a relaxing time out on the sunny terrace. I've written a longer post with a photo of my delicious lunch under the 'Posts' tab. Best of luck with this venture in Bridgnorth's competitive tea-rooms business - I hope you do well! Maybe extra sandwich board-style signage at the top and bottom of Cartway, advertising that you're there, would be good?? Just a thought!
